This is my favorite way to play to make the ratings matter the most but you still get to choose if you need to throw the ball hard (hold the button) or soft (tap) given the situation. The more control you have over the game the less the ratings matter. I started using autofielding after A&S mentioned it and it works great along with timing hitting and Classic pitching!
Autofielding is not an option in online leagues. Even games against the CPU are considered online so auto fielding and auto baserunning are not available. I'm glad because auto fielding makes the game so incredibly boring. But auto fielding won't affect CPU errors anyway, which is what I was talking about. I've now played 11 games on these settings (4 with auto fielding on in offline Postseason Mode), and 0 errors for the CPU. I'm making about 1 error every 2-3 games, the CPU none. I'm fine with my own errors actually, as I'm on pace to have about the same amount the Dodgers did last year. It'd just be nice if the CPU made an occasional mistake too. But unfortunately there's no way to increase just CPU errors without also increasing human errors.

And I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining. I love these sliders and have had a very fun mix of games so far. They force you to be a better hitter since you don't get good pitches often so you have to lay off the bad ones and look for your pitch or you won't be able to square it up when you do get it.

You should check out Bobhead's thread where he runs CPU vs CPU games and adjusts the sliders to get accurate numbers. He is using fielding errors 6 throwing errors 5 i believe and while still not exactly enough its better than 5/5

I have played about 12 games (all post season mode) and I hate to say it but I'm seeing very little home runs by the CPU. I'm playing as the Braves using last seasons bracket.

I beat the Cards in the wildcard round. Beat the Nationals 3 games to 1. Beat the Giants 4 games to 2 and I just lost game 1 in the series to the A's.

Click up CPU power to 5 then.

That is default. I have seen a good HR output from the CPU in playing over 40 games now. Like I keep saying the randomness and statistical probability in baseball is truly random (run on sentence? lol). Having a large sample size is critical to forming trends in baseball.

But go ahead and click it up to default 5 and see if that helps.

This game is sensitive to just one click. I love that. To me it is the easiest sports game to tune and tweak because of how much work goes into it out of the box.

It happens in spurts. I've played 2 games in my Astros franchise and the Mets ripped 3 HR's off me in 1 game. I am having the power outage, lol. No HR's yet. I think these sliders are just about set in stone for me.

                Really liking these so far.
Had to get used to the broadcast fielding camera combined with auto fielding though. I keep trying to move my players towards the ball hahaha.

Last 2 games were good ones. Lost as Colorado to the Reds 6-1. DeLaRosa was awful for me giving up all 6 runs in the first 3 innings. His control was attroceous as he walked 5. Gave up a 2 run homer to Bruce and a lot of hard hits. Bullpen came in and got in trouble a few times but held the Reds scoreless the rest of the way.
Didn't manage my first hit off Latos until the 6th. Finally scored in the 8th on a double by Tulowitski and a triple by Cuddyer which should have been a double but Choo tried to make a leaping catch at the wall and the ball bounced way back towards the infield.

Game two I beat the Braves 6-3 as the Mets.
Freeman hit a 2 run homer off Matt Harvey in the 3rd but I answered back in the bottom of the inning with RBI singles from Tejada and Harvey (nice to see a pitcher get an RBI back that he gave up in the top half of the inning).
Braves would retake the lead in the 6th on an RBI single by Uggla.
I would again come right back in the bottom of the inning and tie the game on an Ike Davis RBI single followed by a 3 run homer by Duda to take the lead.
Bullpen did its job and I got the 6-3 win.

Both games had a really good feel to them and nothing stood out as being out of place.

                Excellent work on these!!

Folks. Played 3 post season games today. These sliders are final.

                  Loving it.

All we need now is some classic rosters, OSFM and the All Time OS roster and I am set for a years.

The Show 13 is truly amazing.

I played a game last night with these as the Yankees against the Red Sox. The Sox took a 5-0 lead against me in 6th after a 3-run HR by Will Middlebrooks. Tried to play a matchup in the sixth as Pettitte (who gave up two runs in 5.1 innings) by bringing in Cody Eppley to face the RH part of Boston's lineup. Gomes and Pedroia were both walked and Middlebrooks who had been crushing me all series deposited a 3-2 hanger into the Boston bullpen in left field.

Clay Bucholz up until that point had been in and out of trouble. However, he walked Travis Hafner to start the inning (brought in Vernon Wells to pinch run and take over DH duties) and Brennan Boesch sneaks one over the LF fence for a two-run HR. The inning didn't stop there as the Yanks' bottom of the lineup coaxed two walks and a RBI single, before Ichiro hit a no-doubter into the RF bleacher creatures, game 6-5 Yanks.

The game had everything. Both bullpens blew the game, but timely hitting gave both teams a chance. Love it, guys. Great sliders.

A & S are you using the hybrid hitting sliders or all star? I really like your theory on the hybrid ones so it looks like those are the ones I'm going to be using. I've always stayed away from veteran hitting because I felt the CPU pitchers weren't challenging enough, meaning they threw too many pitches over the plate. But with your pitching sliders for the CPU they certainly seem like they would throw out of the zone a lot more.
Anyway, won't get a chance tomorrow though as it's opening day for the Yankees and Man U is also on tomorrow (my wife will probably kill me before the day is over hahahaha).

Once again I am rolling with the hybrid. It plays amazing. Walks, bloopers, choppers, rips down the line, normal amount of HR's, it plays so smooth.

I have gotten so many different games out of them. The all-star set is also fantastic but more challenging at the plate. The hybrid really gives you a better balance and the fun factor is supreme IMO.

I can' t wait to start rolling a couple of franchises using OSFM and a classic roster.

I know these sliders are for Classic Pitching, but what would you change for someone to use Pulse Pitching? Maybe move the human pitcher confidence/consistency down one tick each?

I can't answer that. I tried pulse and did not care for it at all. Sorry man.

What pitch speed are you using with the hybrid set? I know you mentioned personal preference, but I'm curious as to what you're using personally?
