Gotta say these are the most realistic sliders I have had so far, and I think finally this is what I am keeping and not changing anything I was a bit scared at first at seeing pitcher Con and control so low and power and contact so low I didn't think it could even out but now I am seeing the right amount of strikeouts that should be happening.


I wish there was a slider for confidence, the CPU gets to hook happy if that is at halfway

Glad you're liking the sliders, man. Thanks for giving them a shot. Like I said in the first post, don't be intimidated by the numbers. Any change I make is for reason. I always have an accurate statistical goal in mind whenever I set a slider at a certain value. I've been working with sliders in sports games for a long time, and it's all about testing and sample size. I'm continuing to test, and once I get to that 50 game mark, I'm going to average out the stats, and if there's anything that looks out of whack, then I'll revisit changing a slider.

Until then, I'm confident that these are a solid base for testing. If you could provide stats and boxscores, I'd appreciate it!

@ King's recommendation, I'm giving these a look. I have a test franchise with A&S's Hybrid set going on with CIN, and for kicks I'm starting a test one with SF for yours.

I would be very interested in seeing a version of these for QC games, as that feature is so addictive that I see most of my games being played on it. In the absence of a full set, I'd be curious to know theoretically which sliders you might leave as-is and which ones you might alter.

In any case, I'll post results as I have them. I'm in game one of ST right now...

This is my second game post patch. I played the first one earlier in the week, but failed to log stats because I was too lazy/tired. One thing that jumped out of me in that game was the high strike percentages. Now with this game, same thing. I have concerns that the patch has something to do with it. However, I haven't played many games over the last couple of weeks, so it may just me being rusty. I'm going to finish out this test series, and I hope the numbers revert back to their realistic ways. If not, I may look into adjusting the CPU Pitcher Control/Consistency, since I already have Strike Frequency at zero.

Okay, maybe it's not a slider issue, and maybe it's more of me still being rusty at the plate. First pitch strike percentages looked a lot better in this game. However, overall strike percentages are still a bit high for my liking. My approach at the plate isn't nearly as sound as I'm used to. I'm going to continue to monitor overall strike percentage, but I think I need to get back into the groove at the plate.

No slider changes imminent.

Well, after 5 long hours of setup, I'm finally ready to roll in my Dodgers franchise with the OSFM rosters.

I've tallied things up, and I need about 10 more test games to get to the 50-game mark. However, instead of playing test games in Play Now, I will test the next ten in my actual franchise. Barring anything unforeseen, I don't see the sliders changing from what they are, unless Franchise games play out significantly different than in Play Now (which I doubt). In either case, 10 games should be enough to find any glaring issues.

I will have the first official stat line from Game 1 of my opening series against the D-Backs later on today!
