ok this is what i am using now:

Pitch Speed:20!!!(yeah thats the only way i find Big Unit or Gameover´s Fast ball intimidating!!)
Contact:2(thanx to joes help i found that 2 has more hit variaty than 0)
Power:7(before when i used 10 for pitch speed i couldnt hit hrs with power at 7, but now , and i dont have an explanation, i can hit them in a realistc number!!!specially when locked on a ptich with a power hitter)
throw strengh: 4
throw accurance: 5

AI(with those , i find that the AI plays really realistic with evan more realistic box scores):
pitch speed:20!!
contac:5(thanx to pared!)
power:13(thanx to pared!!)
throw strengh:4
throw accurance:5
baserunning aggre:20!!(thanx to pared, as i do play with auto baserunning , now i see more 2b hits..making box score evan more realistic, no more 5runs in 18 hits!)


ok i think thats it ...let me tell you, ive played 7 full games..and each of them were totally diferent games..with pretty much realistc box scores..heres the first 2

about this game, i can tell you that i scored 9 runs in the first inning than i was thinking of change sliders already, but i decided to keep playing and that game was just a good one for the cubs..but not nonrealistc.)

2nd game(first time i played with the yankees, as i am a ***** of them, but i wanted to try RJ, as i am a big fan of his, from his arizona time)

Ok about this one i can say that it was just a perfect realism game. seems twins were tring to hit everything i throw in the first 2 innings before RJ start throwing 98mph..so see what happened was that my first pitch!! was a fast ball inside top corner to luis rivas, guess what! HR! first pitch, but than Rj bounce back and retired 11 in a row before in the bottom of the 5th give up a double folowed by a triple from Hunter..them was a mess..2bb in a row and 3 more runs in...and about Santana, what can i say, ok that Tori robbed R.Sierra from a HR in the 3rd but, he was manigficant..changing speeds and locations like few can do..well at the end of the game i wasnt mad at all..i just admire his great pitching performance..

HOLYCRAP!!! forget all that stuff i said, i decided to try your sliders and I AM IN LOVE WITH THEM!. I just had the most realistic game vs the redsoxs, i am the yankees well it was basically a pitching dual between johnson and schilling but each team got hits.

oh and i decided to retry the whole guessing the position with left stick and i clearly understand it now. BUT i don't understand the whole "influence the hit with the right stick" cuz i do the same with left stick, if a pitch comes and i press right as i swing that is where the ball will go after i hit it. maybe it works both ways i dunno.

if i want a homer i would press up-right EVEN DO I HIT ONE WITH POSADA in the game i played, when i locked in a pitch(RED TARGET) and pressed DOWN + X and it was a blast to center field. On thing that was kinda weird was when i would target on a pitch and the hit would be lame, i thought that stuff gives you power?, but i guess i shouldn't be expecting a homerun everytime i lock on a pitch right?.

anyways the game was amazing with the boxscore ending up

hey guys, tried out these sliders from brnoce....very nice set....now as far as hit variety is concerned....have u guys seen choppers off the plate or even a hit that comes off the bat and hits directly in front of the catcher and whizzez out the infield?? and also triples ...seen them yet by the CPU or urself???

and also, i been playing mvp a lot so its basically time based hitting.....so with this zone hitting ive been striking out quite a bit...got K'ed by randy J 14 times last game.....and by hudson 13 times before that....i hit 17 ks last week...its gotten better but any other tips ?? thanks

I seen triples from damon and the guy from florida( can't remember his name ). as far as the hitting just use the GUESS PITCH LOCATION feature basically hold R2 and pick the pitch and then hold R2 again and guess the location in the zone you think the ball is coming.

also try to find a speed that suits you, cuz i am thinking you are just swinging away since the pitches in this game don't come as fast as MVP's. So play around with the pitch speed and find out where you can get hits but also can get K'D.

well i am not swinging away.....proof was i made RJ pitch 103 pitches in 7.2 ip.....its just that i get deep into counts and i get confused with the strike zone...coz its slightly different than MVP's ...and i have pitch speed at 20 here....and even with that 13 k performance, i was still able to get 8 hits.....but ill try again ....

just keep playing and you will get used to it, i used to strike out like 19+ TIMES(no joke) but i have reduced that to realistic 5 to 10( depending on the pitchers).

If I turn the user pitching speed down to 10 what kind of effect will it have on the game? I'm at 20 now and it's not realistic for Mike Hampton to throw 95. Thanks

I've seen a couple choppers. Also, Randy Winn got a triple when the right fielder dived for a ball, but couldn't get to it, Randy Winn got to third pretty easily.

weel man let me explain it to you..it doesnt matter wich pitch speed(slider) you use for this..evan if you set it to 1 , hampton will still throw 95mph, but his 95mph pitch will be slower than when set it to 20..i like 20 casue like i said thats the only way i find those 95+ fast ball intimidating like they should.

glad you like the sliders...i was doing some tests and i found that it wount change to much if you set user power to 7 or 8...its up to you..i mean if you play many games and see that youre getting to few runs set it to 8.. i am playing with 8 now.. i seem to get more doubles with 8..so more runs with less hits(what i am seeking, to reflect in thebox scores) those slider are really playing well here..i had one more GREAT game yesterday

in this game burnett was doing an exelent job until the bottom of the 4th..he had 6k, but than he surrender 8 runs in 8 hits in that half inning, in the 7th i scored a 3 run hr with Castillo, who would guess that! than Encarnacin hitted a solo HR in the 8th and after that i got a rbi double with Cabrera..but than Gameover! Gange came in and i couldnt hit **** of his fast ball...99mph!!!

anyway it was a great game...very realistic..
also i was thinking joe, see this is how i play, i usually guess pitch in my players red zone, than i lay and wait until its a 2 strike count..(sometimes i do swing when i guess pitch only pitch type correctly, but just with contact players, like Ichiro)but when its a 2 strike count i try to read the putch and swing if its in the zone, sometimes i get k looking.(i awlays swing afert set right stick up, to inluence fly ball)

anyway man, about the thing you said that sometimes you cant hit HR evan when you lock the pitch(red spot) , see thats the thing, you have to guess right pitch TYPE and LOCATION to get the extra power rating, and than you still have to swing at the right time..so its not that easy , i would say that with power hitters i have an 6 in 10 avarege, adn with others a 3 in 10..wich if pretty realistic.. the only thing that i have a doubt now is that i am seen that my hits are losing power and becoming flyballs cause of that i aways influence them fly ball with right stick..but i dont know if i would still hit a realistc number of HR without influence fly balls..so what do you think?should i inlfuence or no?

Same happened to me when A-Rod hit one to the left side in toronto and the guy missed the dive.

1. I might try it on 8 cuz i want to hit more homeruns, seems weird but so far with the sliders i have hit 5 homers in 10 games with the same guy, that being posada, other then that it has been great, i even did a COMEBACK i was down 4-0 and in 1 inning i started a rally scoring 4 RUNS IN 5 HITS, realism baby!.

2. I don't know why you even use the Right stick to influence, i USE THE LEFT STICK and it has worked perfectly, i have even hit homeruns with it, also that crap its awkward i think 989 meant use L stick and not R stick but hey whatever it has worked for me with the left stick. So if anything i say try influencing the hits with the left stick.


3. Uh dude i have actually guessed the pitch and location, i know cuz i saw that red target and none of the times i have hit homeruns were because i guessed the location and pitch. the 5 homers with posada have been straight up just me waiting for a pitch and influencing it with the left stick( pressing up-right ).

ok so evan if its a pitch(non guessed right) down-left corner, oyu aim up-right with left stick?? i iwll try but i think i will miss the ball. so what you do is basically same way in MVP , press up right for righties and up left for lefties to try HR?
