Honestly my man don't even try. Heck...don't even post updates to what your doing. I used to do this back In the day and more so in NCAA games and it doesn't matter how hard you work or how much time you spend...people are selfish, lazy, and overall conditioned to feel entitled that they receive something for nothing. Just keep doing the work and let the fat little mountain dew nerds stew. Lol there are quite a bit of us who know the pain and headaches of doing roster/slider work and sad thing is...even if you put out the most perfect thing ever...same dudes are gonna blast your work so don't bother posting updates or rebuttles. Just know there are real OS members here who appreciate what your doing.

Finishing the pitch velocities for the Yankees organization took me 2 hours alone. Thats 60 hours for just pitch velocities. The amount of work being done here is simply staggering. And like Owl just said, with the ability to transfer saves from year to year this file is gonna be a rock for years to come. It'll be worth the wait so calm the hell down.
And speaking of those Yankees...
Michael Pineda: Add Sinker(91mph)
Ivan Nova: delete Slider(doesn't throw it)

Except for the no updates thing. I look forward to hearing about the progress each night. It would be torture not knowing how it was going :-)Comment

Re: SBFM(OS) roster discussion
okay, that's fine. then enough with the false hope that things are closer to being done than they actually are. the completion percentage thing has been a joke for a while, and it's just frustrating to constantly be seeing posts saying "great news! we're close! only another two weeks!" after seeing signs of it being close to release. If they're going to take all the time in the world, that's fine. then don't send out false hope that things are closer to the end than they are.
It also doesn't change the fact that releasing these rosters after July 31 won't save any realism due to all the moves that will be made. Come August 10, even the July 31 rosters will be out-of-date. that's all, "tiger".Comment

First off... Cal shouldn't have to be having to apologize to you people. He's doing us a favor by making these rosters, and they're a ton of work. So unless you're helping you have no right to be criticizing how long it is taking. Cal doesn't need to apologize and he doesn't need your smart *** thanking him either.Last edited by DaCode10; 07-27-2014, 02:28 AM.Comment

Re: SBFM(OS) roster discussion
Got the major farms potentials updated.. Big thanks to baseball America for the great work they do over there.
I'll try to get the rest of the farms finished tomorrow and then knock out the rest of the ratings..

Re: SBFM(OS) roster discussion
People need to realize that this roster will be near-perfect. Mizzou is a great, GREAT guy who makes rosters for a video game FOR US ALL. It shouldn't matter how long it takes. The weeks/months we've waited are gonna be worth it for the next couple YEARS. People need to be more appreciative.Seattle Mariners|Seattle Seahawks

I am more than entitled to my opinion and the ability to express it. He acknowledged that he misjudged how long it would take and apologized. I accepted, and the rest of the community should, too, but he needs to be aware that a lot of people are upset waiting for this. I'm appreciative of his work, but being told "next week" for two months is nothing short of rude--charity or not.
I have no animosity towards the guy. As far as I know, we're over it. Remove the stick and join us, would you?Comment

Re: SBFM(OS) roster discussion
Mizzou24, I would personally like to see your next update include your lift/rep numbers or the movie you took the little one to. Your response tone has shifted over the past week which means to me that you see the finish and nerves are kicking in. It's summer, it's a family day and this is the least important thing you are doing (not discounting the efforts of all involved, just looking at the forest made up of the trees). It's getting to you, take a day to clear and come back strong (and sore!) for the final push.
Scott has a great 'matter of fact' update writing style. Since I'm telling you what to do, I volunteer him to manage the updates."for love of the game" - B. ChapelComment

Re: SBFM(OS) roster discussion
i respect and commend you for all your diligence and attention to detail with these rosters, but is it really worth holding up the release for another week just because some catchers have the wrong color shinguards? why not release multiple versions so we can get things rolling out, kind of like the OSFM guys do? I know a lot of people would be happy to do equipment and motions edits for their own teams, while you can spend that extra week wrapping things up. i know i quit my last franchise mode when I saw this was at 82% and that was three weeks ago, and somehow it's still only listed at 88%...
If we're actually close, then that's great. But every few days seeing a post that says "we're close!" with a following sentence essentially saying the ETA is being pushed back a week, I don't see how we're really getting that much closer.
None of that is to say I'm not grateful or I'll stop waiting or anything. I respect immensely that these are supposed to be the most realistic rosters ever, but I don't see why this has to wait until after the trade deadline. there are almost always just as many roster moves throughout August as there are in the last week of July, so it's not like there's that much extra benefit of waiting until after the trade deadline.
I'm thankful for everyone who has put all their effort into these rosters, but there has to be a way to get these out sooner.
First of all, I'm the one doing equipment while Mizzou is doing the minor league ratings....

Re: SBFM(OS) roster discussion
I love how people start to complain when they don't attempt to do the rosters themselves. They does take forever. I do my own rosters as well but not even 10% done lol. Work and kids really kills my time so I don't get much done on it. As i'm picky on details, looks like I may check out your rosters and maybe force myself to give up on the rosters and start a season (haven't even played a season other than rtts on any TS series cause of the rosters lol)Comment
