No changes to SCEA players in V1. A separate roster with pitch edits comes out later on.

Broxton is on the Brewers 40 man isn't he? I thought that's how SCEA did the rosters, they included all guys on the 40 man roster? So it's really odd he's not in the game.

Side note, I remember watching Broxton play in AA Altoona thinking he'd be something for the Pirates. So much for that.

Broxton should be on the Brewers because he played in the majors last year. SCEA doesn't pay attention to team's 40 man rosters. It is odd he isn't in the game but he likely didn't finish paperwork or something stupid. I don't think he was in any updates last year either.

This is honestly just ignorance cause I really don't know but I thought when looking through the rosters(also previous years) that the only real life players in the game were on a teams 40.

I can't think of any examples off the top of my head but what about a guy like Shane Victorino. Say for example he isn't on the Cubs 40 if/when he's in the minors. Will SCEA still put him in the game in Triple A for the Cubs or in the Free Agent pool?

yeah, no need to worry here. Naquin has been a part of the OSFM sets since MLB 14. I've pitched against him several times.

To go along with your Cubs example, Juan Perez, Kristopher Negron and Jean Machi were all NRIs and not on their 40man but on their 40man in the game. However Shane Victorino, Manny Parra and Munenori Kawasaki were also NRIs but they're all listed as Free Agents.

Should Bumgarner have an actual Cutter pitch instead of a 2-seam? I don't ever hear of or seen Bum use a 2-seam pitch.

Absolutely. I don't know why Sony insists on making all cutters into 2-seam fastballs. There is quite a difference.

I think that's what I was getting at/confused by. So if real players are in the game, SCEA will put them on the 40 man. Disregarding real life 40 man rosters in this case, the only real players in the game are on the 40 man rosters/free agent pool in the game?

I've been looking through trying to make note of real players in case they get removed for any reason in the future. Just wanted to verify that the only real guys in the game are on a 40 roster/free agent in the game.

Good thing about The Show now is there are plenty of other modes to play while waiting for your rosters to come out. Even for the guys that don't like to play online vs there is stuff for them to do. I would think you guys would be getting less "eta" questions.

I am already into the middle of May of my Franchise. I was only ever going to start calling up Minor Leaguers in July anyway, so I can play until the end of June, then wait for the OSFM roster, download the roster and then start a new Franchise and simulate the games to get the same record I had on my first Franschise. I am not actually sitting around waiting for the OSFM roster to drop before starting my Franshise because I don't need to.
