Re: The Game's Community Ratings Calculator
What is the difference between the weighted ratings vs the 2016 ratings? Also, what do you use for potentials?Last edited by Daonlyjmo7; 09-10-2016, 05:27 PM.Check out my dynasty: Rise to the Top: The Coaching Career of Joshua Morgan (NCAA 14)Comment

Re: The Game's Community Ratings Calculator
Weighted takes into account previous season's stats with an emphasis on the two most recent seasons. 2016 is just 2016.
There is really not a good calculation for potentials. Personally, I just base them off prospect rankings and overalls for MLB players.

Re: The Game's Community Ratings Calculator
I absolutely love the calculator! When can we expect a version 3 with the fully updated stats from 2016? Thank you again!Comment

Thanks for the comment! Glad you like it!
I probably won't update it again until close to next season. It's a lot of work to update all the stats and hunt down duplicates. I'm now playing Madden and 2K but if I get the urge to update it, I'll certainly share it with the community.Comment

Re: The Game's Community Ratings Calculator
I was looking over the calculator and I wanted to know if it was updated for the whole season.
I only ask because I was looking at Mark Trumbo's numbers and I noticed something odd.
His 2016 power ratings are 90 vs a righthander and 99 vs a lefthander.
However, if you look at his final year splits his slugging percentage against right-handers was .584 and against left-handers it was .385.
Is that correct?Comment

I'm using ISO, not slugging percentage. The calc is only updated through the All-Star break though. You can expect a completely updated version with next year's The Show.
I'm responding from my phone and don't have the calc in front of me, but my guess would be his numbers verse left must have dropped significantly after the All-Star break. This is why I recommend looking at a mixture of career and weighted ratings rather than just one season. Baseball is a crazy game where guys like Brady Anderson can hit 50 home runs one year yet never hit over 30 in any other single season for their career.Comment

Re: The Game's Community Ratings Calculator
Check out the version of the roster I posted based on this calc. The simmed numbers for power are right in line with most MLB player's averages.Comment

Re: The Game's Ratings Calculator
Sorry everyone. For some reason, the file quit being shared from my drive. I have re-posted the link as I have gotten quite a few requests to share it.
It isn't updated with end of season stats, yet, but it will be in the next month or so in preparation for The Show 17.Comment

Re: The Game's Community Ratings Calculator
Hey man, wondering if you were still planning on releasing the 16 version. This calculator is awesome and would be a tremendous help for OSFM 17.

Re: The Game's Community Ratings Calculator
If the OSFM for 17 is based on this calculator then finally the ratings won't be so over powered. It is the only chance we may have for a proper full roster re-rate, as it appears the hybrid won't be making a return this year unfortunately
