Bacon, these rosters are amazing.

I picked up The Show '20 during these holiday sales. I didn't have much of an interest in doing a traditional Franchise since I am working on a Cleveland Indians franchise....kind of a "what could have been" beginning the year after they lost the WS to the Cubs.

I decided to give your rosters a try after hearing all the accolades on these forums and I love what I am seeing. I am still playing as the Indians, but decided to do a fantasy draft since I didn't know any of the players and to essentially start the league fresh. I love this take on things. I am really looking forward to diving into this franchise and plan to make it along term Franchise.

I will probably use your rosters for any future versions of The Show going forward. Keep up the good work man.

I know it's been a while since I've posted but I've been very busy building more around the roster so without further delay, I have a big announcement.

I will very shortly begin streaming a two team franchise on my newly revamped Twitch channel. I will also try to back up all videos on my YouTube channel and the stream link will be added to my signature here on OS.

I'll post more details about the stream itself and what it will consist of at a later date but I'm very excited to get this going soon.

The team's I've decided on are Cleveland and Atlanta. They will both be rebranded and I'll run the two teams simultaneously with games shown on Twitch. I plan to start on Tuesday!

I am starting a Franchise with this roster. I am rebranding the Oakland A’s to my DD team.

I do plan on playing with all 30 teams throughout the year.

Who is everyone’s favorite teams/players that I should try playing with first??

I would definitely say you should play around with teams and see what you like. Some players just tend to play above their attributes for whatever reason for every user so see who fits your mold.

You picked a great team to start with. The A's have one of the better rosters in terms of unique personalities, platoon depth and all around talent. Mayfield is the most talented of them all - the most likely 40/40 candidate. I do also really like the Mariners and Giants. Those two would be my World Series favorites starting any new franchise mode.

As for certain players, that's based off user preference but my favorite two hitters I've used are Rex West, 1B Mets and Tim Brennan, CF Angels. I'm sure there are many different ways to answer that question but those are my top.

Mayfield has been a monster for me so far. And I noticed the A’s have a lot of platoons and depth. Kind of like the real life A’s ironically.
I went through the player search and looked at the top players at each position and there’s so many unique players it’s so cool. Great work!

Hi everyone! I am going to give these a shot. I have stopped and started like 10 different franchises using real life MLB rosters because I just get bored too fast with them and having preconceived notions of what "should or shouldnt" happen. The overwhelming positive response for this roster has me itching to give it a shot - especially since I've realized i suck at Madden and 2k.

Does anyone have any team suggestions for me? I dont want to be a World Series favorite but I definitely want to make the playoffs and have a shot. Wouldnt mind having a stud player i could win the Cy or MVP with... I would love a "fun" team to play with...Im open to any and all suggestions!

I shot you a reply to the PM you sent me earlier today...so some tips there. I'd definitely consider giving my sliders a shot...they've been thoroughly tested with this roster (I have 200+ games in so far).

As for teams...

Man....they are all amazing. It took me a couple of years (literally) to finally pick the team (Atlanta) to take a plunge with. For that team, it was just a whole series of potential storylines (older team, meh farm, but some great players).

I suggest maybe picking a team for aesthetics or pick a team you'd never use with a real roster. There are some obviously top-end teams; but for the most part, they are very balanced. No matter who you use, you'll begin to write your own story.

If you REALLY get stuck...try this...

Make a ranking list of what 5 teams in the league you would like to use. Put them into playoff mode and then sim the playoffs...whichever team gets to the WS is your team. (If you're torn between both NL and AL teams, just add your top 5 from both and whoever wins it all is your team). With the balance of this roster....whoever wins wont necessarily be the best team....it's like a little random number generator with a twist.

There is definitely good teams to choose. I am torn between the Oakland A’s and Detroit. I usually love Detroit no matter what, and it would be a good team to choose. They are old, but have a couple of players you could build around, but they are very expensive. I am really trying to see if I could do some sort of Moneyball team. Think it would be quite the challenge.
