In a perfect world, The Show creators would just pay you guys to do these rosters. I have never waited so long to start a franchise, but all I hear is how great your final roster is and I wanted to wait this season instead of going with your first one. Thank you all for your hard work.

Does anyone know what the devs' process is for determining player ratings, pitch types, batting tendencies etc? Why can't they be more accurate out of the box?

More importantly though, thank you all for your hard work. Without your efforts I would be unable to play franchise mode as it would not be as immersive as necessary for my neuroses. The ridiculously low BABIP in diamond dynasty, amongst other things, makes that mode unplayable, so your rosters save the game for me! Thank you.

Does anyone know if the V1 or V2 ratings will include any stats from 2018? Hope so ‘cuz I’m guessing the 2017 version of the Braves will be pretty bad!

Yeah i guess it just depends how important it is for you to have the best roster. If time is an issue then i wouldn't wait around if i were you. Im not trying to pack in 162 games by October, so i have all year.

But it happens that some people say forget it, and start their franchise without it. Then, 30 games into their franchise, there is the Hybrid roster - shining in all its glory. They try to play on, but there it is, beckoning, as they try to tell themselves that their SDS roster is good enough, playing another 20 or 30 games knowing they are playing with a lesser roster, before they finally give in and start a new franchise the right way. Meanwhile, they just wasted another month on top of the time they had waited impatiently for Hybrid to drop.

But if its really important to catch up with MLB though, i say just start. Because youre probably not going to enjoy being pressured to get 3 games a night in. The main thing is that you enjoy this game.

I think if you've been around these forums before and kept up with the various roster threads, you'd find exactly why we won't provide an ETA.

Patience is a virtue. It took me way too long to realize that truth. It would have saved me a lot of aggravation earlier in life.
I completely understand everybody's frustration on both sides. And even though NOBODY wants to start their franchise more than me, if I were doing these rosters I would not give an ETA. If it takes you longer than you said to get the rosters out, this is the internet. There is a total lack of civility and appreciation.
The "best" of something always takes patience. From a line at the best ride in a theme park to the new tech that makes the old tech obsolete to....you get the idea.
Take as long as you need Gentleman. You are proud of what you do and obviously very creative and mega talented. For all of the hours, days, weeks and months you put into it, you deserve to take as long as you need to put out your product you are rightfully so very proud of. Thank you again.

The wait is so much easier when there are new games to play to keep me occupied during the wait. Still working my way through Far Cry 5 and even that is going on the back burner again as I dive into State of Decay 2 tonight at midnight.

SoD2 will easily keep me occupied for at least a week (assuming I play literally nothing but it for the next week) and then Detroit: Become Human releases May 25th.

So I'm golden on shiny new games keeping me distracted while I wait for these to eventually drop.

I had started a franchise with OSFM 1.5, but since I'm still in April, after waiting for most of the SOTS audio packs to be released before actually starting it, I'm just going to continue waiting a bit longer for this to drop before finally starting my franchise for good.

The Braves are actually good this year so I spend most of my free time actually watching baseball. Strange that most people here don’t seem to enjoy watching as much.

I play my Franchise the most during the winter.

That's also been a huge time suck for me. After dropping it a couple years ago, I picked MLB TV back up this year, so I can cross 3 hours off every night due to the Rockies playing, since I prefer to watch them on TV vs the laptop or phone.

Though I did end up shifting the Rockies-Giants game from TV to laptop halfway through tonight since SoD2 was available to play at midnight and I wanted to put a couple hours in before calling it a night. But that's pretty much the first time I didn't watch a Rockies game from start to finish entirely on the TV.

I watch games while playing the show. If I can I try to watch at least two games a day
