These rosters are great, but I’m using Armor’s sliders with them and I am absolutely killing the ball. 4 game series against the Red Sox I went 4-0 with over 15 hits in each game. Using default rosters I struggled to even get to 5 hits a game.

I’m not sure if it’s because the attributes are over powering or something else. Playing on Hall of Fame as well.

A&S has Power & Solid Hits at 4 but left Contact & Timing at the default 5, I think it would help if you reduce that Contact & Timing down to 4 also too as well

So I played the next game and lost 5-2... This game balances out so well. I guess I have to be patient.

I hear you. Trust me, I get it. Non-competitive sports games become an instant bore. Balancing sim and competition is a challenge in itself.

I played COL again last night, this time to the tune of a 7-2 win, though we were out-hit, 7 to 6. I'm definitely getting a nice variety of games with this roster. If you get 15 hits, 10 games in a row, I would definitely increase your pitch speeds at a starting point, prior to over-slidering. Though the aforementioned suggestion of reducing your timing and/or contact might also be something that you want to pursue (eventually). Of course, then you're starting down that path...

I'm a pretty hard critic of rosters, whether they be custom or generic. This is the best IRL roster that I've seen to this point. BrianMcNulty clearly knew what he was doing when he constructed this. I'm likely to run with MLB 20 on PS5 until late in 2021 cycle, using this roster. When I eventually 'upgrade' to next gen, I'm likely to continue running this franchise on MLB 20. MLB 20 is going to be one of those all-time great games to play for years to come.

I love this roster. I am taking the plunge and getting the MLB 21 on PS5. It would be nice to be able to download this roster for that but I doubt or don't think I can. I started a franchise with the Dodgers and want to try to start one with the Mariners to give myself a challenge. But I also have a Braves franchise with an older roster that is in the first part of September. Part of me wants to finish that season at least. Then part of me wants to start over with this roster and sim through September and try to replicate my season. Right now I'm in 1st place with a 3.5 game lead.

But Armor's sliders work perfectly with this roster set. I'm not sure what the difference between this roster and the other 21 roster...I'm sure both are good but I really do like this one and went with it.

Hey gang, quick update....

Been plugging away at these rosters to try and get them to a point where someone can load them up and have them be spot on for Opening Day. With coaching baseball and the release of OOTP 22 my roster fixing time is annoyingly short most days, but I will drop my last update Friday after the dust settles. There may me things I missed but I'm okay with the general state of how they look.

Couple things:

-Any guy on the 60-day IL will be in A ball. I did this to increase the accuracy of 40-man rosters and make them sort of like a live roster for exhibition players.

- some teams are using 14 pitchers this first week and 6-man rotations. Due to the limits of the game build, it's just easier to have 13/13 (pos/pitch). Nothing we can really do about that. There may be unavoidable cases where a guy is on the MLB club in this roster when irl he's not.



Hope you guys have fun w/them.
I will let you know when the Opening Week set drops.

I'm trying to find the pitching/hitting balance as well. I normally go with my own, but definitely based off of Armor's. What are you currently using for this roster? I think these rosters are phenomenal. They are just a little different than what I've used before so my tried and true sliders seem just a bit off.....if that makes sense. BTW, I'm a directional, classic, clean screen player......any advice is appreciated cause I wanna use this roster and enjoy it as much as it deserves!!

Thank you for the help Armor. I agree with everything you 'said'. I guess this roster is just a little different so it kinda got in my head. I'm gonna roll with it and enjoy the game and rosters.
