Re: 2023 Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
Question about speed and arm strength ratings I’ve noticed a lot of odd speed ratings especially for rf/1b. (Examples Chase Declatuer being a 50 same for George Valera )
How are these arrived at? I know a rf might typically be more of a power bat/arm guy is that the formula ? Positional ?
Thanks in advance

Re: 2023 Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
First off, great job on the rosters. I played a few games and it plays great.
I’m a cubs fan and started a franchise. I went to add Ian’s Happ’s and Nico’s Hoerner’s extensions and I saw some of the contracts are off for cubs players (Dansby with a 2 year deal, stroman with 4 years, Barnhart with 8) etc.
Just wanted to see if you had seen this
Hmmm. That’s really odd. I specifically added those contracts before the roster released.
I wonder if the game adjusts them like it does with many other features?- Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster out now! (MLB 25)

Not sure. I did check the other major FA signings (Bogaerts, Turner, Judge) and they look accurate.Comment

Re: 2023 Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
Is there an unintended consequence of top prospects being too easily affordable as their ratings are “surpassed” in the game engines eye ? I’m seeing even more unusual trade offers
Also does this roster eliminate the possibility of fast rising or break out older players as you used age as a means of projection ?

I might be wrong, but Dansby might have an opt out? As far as the rest, if the contracts are wrong that’s an SDS thing unfortunatelyComment

Which roster did you use as the base? I didn't see the same differences in the live rosters. I also saw Seiya's contract was treating him as a pre-arb player (720k) rather than the 5 year $85 mil contract.
Again, great job on the roster. I don't want to sound critical - these ratings play great in the few games I've played thus far. Just trying to get this fixed before I start up my franchise.Comment

I don't think Dansby does - I think it's 7 years with a no trade clause.

Re: 2023 Franchise Fidelity to Reality Roster Project (Official Thread)
I was just manually moving guys down after ST in franchise mode. I noticed almost every player has three options left? I checked the roster from the saved file and it’s the same way. Any idea how that happened?Comment
