Question about speed and arm strength ratings I’ve noticed a lot of odd speed ratings especially for rf/1b. (Examples Chase Declatuer being a 50 same for George Valera )

How are these arrived at? I know a rf might typically be more of a power bat/arm guy is that the formula ? Positional ?

      Thanks in advance

Hmmm. That’s really odd. I specifically added those contracts before the roster released.

I wonder if the game adjusts them like it does with many other features?

Not sure. I did check the other major FA signings (Bogaerts, Turner, Judge) and they look accurate.

Is there an unintended consequence of top prospects being too easily affordable as their ratings are “surpassed” in the game engines eye ? I’m seeing even more unusual trade offers

Also does this roster eliminate the possibility of fast rising or break out older players as you used age as a means of projection ?

Do you use default sliders or is there a set you would recommend with this roster?

Contracts were not edited. I thought we hit the Happ extension but we might have missed it.

I might be wrong, but Dansby might have an opt out? As far as the rest, if the contracts are wrong that’s an SDS thing unfortunately

Admittedly there are some limitations to our prospect system. “Run” grades were used to determine speed but unfortunately that grade encompasses more than just speed it also includes bass running. We are looking into possibly using some advanced data that is available to help generate prospect speed ratings for next season

Trades are wonky regardless of roster form my experience. As far as breakouts it’s really hard to tell because the dynamic potential system is difficult to track/figure out how it works

                      I don't think Dansby does - I think it's 7 years with a no trade clause.

Which roster did you use as the base? I didn't see the same differences in the live rosters. I also saw Seiya's contract was treating him as a pre-arb player (720k) rather than the 5 year $85 mil contract.

Again, great job on the roster. I don't want to sound critical - these ratings play great in the few games I've played thus far. Just trying to get this fixed before I start up my franchise.

Hey Cubby, go Cubs! I would start with the default sliders and tweak them to your playing level.

I was just manually moving guys down after ST in franchise mode. I noticed almost every player has three options left? I checked the roster from the saved file and it’s the same way. Any idea how that happened?

The base roster doesn't have accurate option years (been like that for years).

Thanks to Ridin & the roster team at SDS they fixed a ton of guys in latest roster update but those don't transfer between roster files

It is very frustrating that that wasn't something the game just came with
