Honestly man I’m a huge Red Sox fan but I completely start from scratch with a fantasy draft and build from the ground up. I find that to be the funnest way for myself personally

I don't know how you guys are determining who makes the roster, but would be great to see some NYY prospects in the game that are among their top prospects not ranked on MLBPipeline.com, but on sites like Fangraphs or 1500Prospects.com.

C Carlos Narvaez - He's actually on the teams' 40-man roster but not in the game
OF Francisco Vilorio - The teams top international signing

Besides that, looking forward to seeing this roster, will it be based off of the Live roster that has Yamamoto in the game? Or the original base roster from when it released on the 19th?

I am in control of who makes the roster and who doesn't.

We add all of the MLB Pipeline top 30 guys, other than 16 year olds. So I will say 895 or 900 guys will be in.

The default roster has MAYBE 500 MLB Pipeline prospects. So that's 400 players I have to create from scratch. It takes 5 to 10 minutes for each guy, ratings excluded. So faces, body types, H/W, hometown, equipment, batting stances, etc. Do the math and that will tell you how long this takes.

Unfortunately, this means I only do top 30 prospects and leave most of the default roster filler guys in after that. I would love to do even more prospects, but we want to get this roster out as quickly and accurately as possible, so that's the cutoff we set. Maybe if the default roster had more actual prospects, but that's not the case at all.

For example, look at the Royals. Scroll to the bottom of this page and you can see the guys that were originally on the roster. It's quite pathetic to be honest. They seem to think everyone wants to play with a bunch of AAAA nobodies than Blake Mitchell and Frank Mozzicato.

Oh, and we used the roster that shipped with the game as our base. It included Noelvi Marte, before he was removed.

Second edit: I created guys that are on opening day rosters (Miguel Sano, the Japanese guys, a few others) but did not go through each 40 man and make sure every guy was included. When adjusting lineups and pretty much anything else, the AI constantly jacks up 40 man rosters in the roster moving section. If that's a problem for anyone, I apologize.

I watched both preview YT videos and these look great. My Guardians seem to have received big boosts across the board. I have a couple questions if you have the time…

- What drove the big OVR bumps of the Guards (Bo, Kwan, Florial, Rocchio)?

- do you recommend playing with Quick Count?

- Any recommended sliders, play styles to give a most realistic experience?

I use quick counts for myself and end up playing every game (typically a series or 2 a day)

This years game is so smooth IMO so I’ve just been playing it with dynamic difficulty and haven’t touched any sliders.

Hey I am 50 myself. I still enjoy playing hours and hours. Settled in on the Royals to start my chise with when these drop. Cant wait. Sliders. check out TNK's on the slider thread you might like some of that

Nice! Good to see some other old school gamers like me. I’m starting with CLE. May give Bieber an honorary extension after the awful news.
