Let me guess, behind every fastball and out in front of every off-speed pitch? If so, while it sounds counter-intuitive, try bumping up the pitch speed. I went from default to 8 and it made a HUGE difference. My issue was that I had too much time to think as the pitch was approaching. When I bumped up the pitch speed, it was basically read and react....which helped enormously.

I thought you were an idiot (no offense ) as this made no logical sense but I tried this last night being I had the EXACT same problem of either being late on the FB or early on everything else. Low and behold, it did wonders and my first game was really fun/great!.

I'm still struggling between using timing/zone as with zone I never hit the pitches that near the middle of the plate...regardless, if I can get my timing right, maybe it'll solve itself.

I will second this. I actually am using zone with out the indicator so all i have to worry about is swinging lol..trust me it doesnt mess anything up cause i still was struggling .. so after bumping up the pitch speed and everything else the same IT HELPED i was a little discouraged cause the spring i only won by 1 then i simmed cause this was my 4th time restarting and trying out something diff lol and then .. i started the season and was nervous cause again i was whiffing and i lost 2-1 with only 4 hits so i sucked it up and went to the 2nd game .... and YES once i got used to it i started slugging and had like 8 hits and scored 6 runs and the comp even fought back and almost came back but it was a great game and these are awesome awesome awesome awesome awesom awesome awesome awesome sliders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with one tweak which is the pitch speed

What team are you using?

Pittsburgh, the homers were off of Liriano, Cole and Burnett. Maybe a relief pitcher or two. I've tweaked the sliders a bit and am not feeling quite so hopeless. Turned down the timing, power, and solid hits for both teams and raised the fielding reaction up to 9 and pitch speed up to 7 or 8.

I'm getting picked off first like crazy. Take one lead and almost every time I'm picked off even with good base stealers like Coco Crisp. Any thoughts?

If you are using these sliders you don't need to take an additional lead. The game takes a pretty big lead for you.

Its nothing to do with the sliders, the game gives you a healthy one step lead anyway, take another and you are taking two and the CPU will go for you, rightly.

Using analog hitting and pulse pitching with these sliders....and it has been awesome. Love how the game plays. Good work.

that there was a way that when they updated the Rosters that it would be able to transfer into your current season so you dont have to start over

No offense taken I saw others giving the same advice and I thought that they too were idiots....but someone mentioned something about not having time to think too much and I knew that was my problem. I'm still struggling picking-up on changeups but I am getting far fewer of those 'very early' swings on non-fastballs.

Started a tigers franchise won first game dominated with price

2nd game i could not get anything going offensively neither could the twins though i can't seem to get anything going with Miggy or vmart

Anyway onto the 14th inning Davis gets on base bunt him over miggy does nothing vmart gets a walk and then JD hits it in the left field gap and we get the winning run...felt very nice lol

I dont use DD, i use All-Star hitting, pitching and Fielding.

No, just leave it at default, its not activated unless you have DD on, dont worry about it.
