    Re: TNK 2015 Sliders

I agree user skill is everything... due to my lack of patience at the plate my skills are not what they should be. however i am getting better... game by game... i have started to put the controller down until i get to at least one strike. Unless that is that first pitch is a strike... the i wait for the count to get to at least two strikes...

well at least i try to... once i get a hit however all bets are off and i become cave man swinging a club..

one of my biggest problems is when i have runners on when i am behind in the score... or god forbid i have runner on second and less than two out...

i have done BP over and over but all that seems to do is turn me into even more of a free swinger... this is just a day by day thing i need to get better at..

one thing about your sliders is that they kinda force you to be patient. That is something i have a hard time doing but since i am now on AS and hopefully staying there is what i am trying to do...

Honestly though - I'm not seeing those issues, I don't know what to tell you. You can certainly take the set and tweak away to get them to perform better for you. Just don't take my work, change a couple sliders and pawn it off as your own, that's all I ask. I'm only saying that because that has been done before as well.

Another reason why I always post my boxscores is so that you guys can see what results I'm getting......I wish I had more to tell you, but I'm not seeing those issues and the guys I trust and help me test aren't reporting those issues either.
wonderful. Im only giving my results which is what you asked of people posting in here. also Im not complaining just merely stating my findings.

I dont think you should expect to make a thread on sliders every year and not expect some constructive criticism.

As far as "pawning" anything off, I have never uploaded a single thing in all the years Ive played the show...ever. I could care less about the kiddies that "steal" "your" work. wow.

Guys, if you are having issues with these sliders, god forbid, dont post your findings in here. you could be flogged.

          Nezff,

I would really like to help you get the game playing better for you. Could you please start posting boxscores or upload some screen shots of your boxscores so I can actually get a better understanding of what your stats are coming out like.

It's very difficult to help tune things for people if all you have to go on is vague explanations, I hear what your saying but without stats to compare to actual MLB outputs it's difficult to get the entire grasp of the situation.

Also as far as hit-and-runs go there's nothing we can do slider wise to adjust that, even though I'm not seeing that as much as you apparently are.

No big deal. Ill deal with it. Im was just assuming that the slider for stealing frequency being at 6 was the cause. I was just letting you guys know.

            thanks.

buddy relax..........i was just trying to explain to you that I wasn't going to alter the sliders when I'm not seeing anything like what you're seeing and not getting any type of feedback about an extreme situation like you're seeing

I'll take whatever feedback and results you want to give me, and I told you to take the sliders and tweak things that you feel need to be tweaked. I just asked you not to make two changes and post the sliders - people have done that before.

I'm not trying to be confrontational with you........play more games, post box scores, make tweaks to the sliders and then post more feedback, make more tweaks

I never said these will work for every single person and every single game will be exactly what you're looking for. There's a handful of guys who make sliders every year that all do a damn good job and do things differently and get good results.

There's nothing else to say other than keep playing and keep tweaking and you will get the game where you want it to be.....you can keep using these and adjust or you can try some of the other sets - i won't be offended...........in the meantime, relax

look at this from my end......some guy posts in here tomorrow that he is on pace for 275 HR on the season with Ortiz, should I drop power slider down for the main set?

I see.. That makes sense. I turned pitcher control up from 4-5 for personal experience. It felt great but I might turn back down and try your suggestion.

We can't base anything or put much weight in a random post without much context regardless of what they are seeing, especially when it's not an issue that not even a small fraction of us are seeing.....chalk it up as an anomoly

Scratch that, not sure TNK, just played a game with the accuracy at 5 and the Cpu had 3 home runs by the 3rd inning...

I am putting pitches outside the zone and still hitting the line right at it, yet pitches are going right to sweet spot.

I might just need an easier set :/ lol

Put everything as it should be in post #1 and stick it out

FOCUS on what you are doing......WORK COUNTS when batting....PITCH CAREFULLY WITH A PURPOSE

It's OK to pitch around guys, set them up!! I can't stress setting guys up enough....stay out of patterns....move the ball around....change your approach from inning to inning

You will figure it out - just stop tweaking from game to game and worka t it.....trust me, and you'll see the payoff - it just takes time and focus

Weather its mlb or nhl tnk massive fan
                            Use your sliders religiously
Hoping you could help me,i dont seem to be pulling any fast balls what so ever The only things i pull are off speed pitches
Not having problems hitting but any fast always goes to opposite field
Running your 1st sliders, not changed anything (dont feel need to)
Any help would be very appreciated
                            Thanks

T- i see that you also prefer to use API... i find it less predictable than we users on our own. I used to be a hard core pattern pitcher every year.. same pattern every game every inning... well as you can guess it finally caught up with me...

no i feel as long as i am as close to on the mark as i can get (i also use meter pitching) i can fool hitters... but just like in real life that isn't always the case... sometimes your on top off the mountain, and sometimes you are just a pebble on the bottom getting stepped all over...

will post my Box scores from my games coming up this Sunday - Thursday..

oh the ONLY thing i changed from your set was pitch speed... 8 wow you must have super man eyes and fingers... i brought it down to a more comfortable 4.

again... thanks for your dedication and passion to your craft... i will continue to use them, i just need to be a LOT more patient at the plate...

Again, not being confrontational either but im allergic to "rudeness". I think you and your slider team do a great job. Every year I find myself coming in here looking at your sliders. Remember, I was ONLY posting my feedback and nothing more. I never asked you nor expected you to change a slider based off what I found. i just posted this merely for a piece of info for you to have in case others were seeing it also.

Now granted, that goes for the same thing as your last comment about ortiz and 275 homers. That doesnt mean anything either because real MLB guys can do that in real life because A gon is doing right now. Now if everyone one of my redsox were hitting homers every game, and were all on pace, then yes that holds water.

Again, my comments were just that. I dont expect you guys to make drastic changes to your sliders based off one comment. Back on topic: I didnt see the cpu try to steal other than once in a game yesterday with a guy that "should" be stealing. Then again, Ive only hit one homer with Hanley in the last 5-6 games and I hit 4-5 in one game at the start of the franchise.

I apologize in advance for any comments that come as rude since the posting, texting, etc...has a way of doing that and not knowing the true intentions of them in the first place.

I have always played mostly at default in the past years but felt i was missing something in realism. I usually play all star pitching but find myself moving to veteran hitting alot. Might have to play with all star hitting because 18 hits last game could have been a fluke. I changed to using just the O button for contact. Xander had three hits in the exact same spot between first and second on outside fastballs late in the count. Same with Pedi.

So far great slider set TNK and team!
