I might just need an easier set :/ lol
Are you letting the catcher call your pitches? I do that also, but dont always use his suggestion. I used his suggestion once or twice and tampa bay led off with a homer in the first inning off Joe Kelly. I settled down and started using his change up and curve.

I would start hitters off low in the zone with the changeup. Sometimes going up and in or out and up with a fastball hard. going away low with a changeup or curve OFF the plate. Most of these pitches are not in the strike zone. I did this on purpose.

I have found that the catcher will call a two seam for three straight pitches and only sometimes utilize the changeup or slider. I started using the slider and changeup more frequently in the right counts. 2-2 and even 3-2. throwing a offspeed pitch on 3-2 or 0-0 is usually unheard off in real life. lol

Basically after spotting my pitches the way I thought, I got 6Ks in 6 innings and held the rays the rest of the game to that one run until the setup guys entered. Got them to hit into double plays and weak ground balls.

Unless that is that first pitch is a strike... the i wait for the count to get to at least two strikes...

well at least i try to... once i get a hit however all bets are off and i become cave man swinging a club..

one of my biggest problems is when i have runners on when i am behind in the score... or god forbid i have runner on second and less than two out...

i have done BP over and over but all that seems to do is turn me into even more of a free swinger... this is just a day by day thing i need to get better at..

one thing about your sliders is that they kinda force you to be patient. That is something i have a hard time doing but since i am now on AS and hopefully staying there is what i am trying to do...

If patience is your issue play with the camera alot it has a major impact on seeing the ball well out of the pitchers hand

I always pick my own pitches. I just need to learn to pitch off the plate more and not fear the walk so much. I will keep trying.

I'm using Catcher zoom right now and it seems to be going ok not great but ok...

i am trying to get a feel for watching the pitchers waist line or his belt as he rotates but it isn't always easy...

it also really depends on how focused i am, if i feel even a bit tired. it will throw me off completely...

Like i said to T... Starting Sunday i will post my box scores...

my main problem is that over my life time starting back in 96 and 98 there was this game by Sierra called Baseball Pro... really great pc game but it had a feature that allowed users to have all pitches thrown right down the middle...

needless to say it became a huge crutch, then there was a little game called... High Heat.. same thing.. had a hitter aid... played that series from 2001 through 2004.

then there came ASB 05. that is what really got me due to the fact on the highest setting i was able to rake all day long by holding down on the stick and swinging away...

then we come to our beloved series... and 07-09 and the wonderful guess pitch feature... well as that changed and AI got smarter well i had to relearn how to hit from scratch.

So that is how i got to where i am to day with hitting in baseball games. So when i say that i am basically starting from scratch in hitting that is pretty true...

              Re: TNK 2015 Sliders

Playing with settings and sliders as given in post one. The only differences are cameras.

This is game 10 of my franchise using OSFM rosters. I'm currently 7-3.

Started this game off rough. Gave up 3 hits (all singles) and 2 runs in the first, then settled down after that. Only gave up 4 more singles.
I was able to score 4 in the 4th and 1 in the 5th. Was able to get 13 hits, mostly grounders and line drives. I don't remember any bloops. No homers, but 1 triple and 4 doubles.

Overall all my games have been close (within 2-3 runs) except 2. A 14-3 loss and a 7-1 win.

The only 2 "issues" I seem to be having are errors (I think there are too many), although there weren't any in this game, and CPU fouls (also think there are too many). Other than that I think the sliders play really well. If you need any more info just let me know.

                Re: TNK 2015 Sliders

TNK, do you have any issues striking out the cup too much? I posted a thread in sliders forum asking for help cause I'm striking out the cpu too much. Your cpu sliders are much different than mine so I would like to know how you feel they are in that area. I'm 45 games in w the Brewers and I'm first in the league w close to 50 more k's than the next team.

I have cpu contact at 4
                Power at 5
                Timing at 5
                Fouls at 6
                Solid hits at 7

Also play on dd difficulty but mostly sits at all star w a bit at all star + is with meter though

                  9 - in-game

                  8 - cpu vs cpu sim (out-game)

It might not be related, but I downloaded these sliders for my franchise and now I don't have any replays or pre-game intros. When I start a game it goes straight to the pitcher warmup.

                          TNK,

Any updated thoughts keeping DD difficulty at 0? I know said that was what you were going to try it.
I am about to start my franchise and just wondering if I go with it at your original 5 or change it to 0? Thanks

I'm keeping it at 0 because I don't want the difficulty to change from game to game......difficulty remains the same, sliders and attributes take over at that point

                              GAME NOTES:
                              * The Red Sox take 2 out of 3 to open the season on the road in Philadelphia

                              * Koji Uehara pitched a scoreless bottom of the 9th to earn his 2nd save on the season

                              * The Red Sox offense was led by Pabloe Sandoval who was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. David Ortiz, Hanley Ramirez and Xander Bogaerts each added two hits apiece.

                              * Justin Masterson allowed 4 runs in 6 innings of work as he battled his way out of a few jams and earned the win on the mound for Boston. Masterson also helped himself at the plate as he smacked a RBI double in the 2nd inning.

                              * The Red Sox will get back to playing American League baseball after opening up with an interleague series on the road and will travel to New York to take on their arch rival Yankees for a 3 game set in the Bronx. Wade Miley will make his Red Sox debut in the opener and will be opposed by Nathan Eovaldi who will be making his Yankees debut.

TNK, I didn't see it mentioned in the first post (sorry if I missed it)...but what rosters are you using? And which for prospects?

                                Thanks!
