Re: TNK 2015 Sliders
EVERY setting is the same as your first post. I do NOT use the analog stick for any direction hitting. All my hits are dribblers to the pitcher or third, or fly balls to the outfield. Have not had seen a double, triple or HRComment

Re: TNK 2015 Sliders
Then you need to improve bud.....you should only be usng X to swing. No power swings or contact swingsComment

Re: TNK 2015 Sliders
curious to know why you guys are only using X? I feel I get a lot more variety in my hits using contact, power in the right situations and normal. Just an inquiry, havent even played a game yet.Comment

Re: TNK 2015 Sliders
I should replhrase my statement.....I use X 99% of the time....I only use contact when trying to fight off pitches in a tight spot and I only use the power swing when I have a power hitter up in a favorable count in a spot where I'm really gearing up for a meatballComment

Re: TNK 2015 Sliders
TNK - EXHIBITION GAME
Boston Red Sox @ Toronto Blue Jays
Pitching Matchup - Justin Masterson vs Drew Hutchison
Game was played using the updated sliders in post #1 of the thread
* The Red Sox struggled to string hits together and fall to the Blue Jays 3-2
* Another enjoyable game.......the sliders are playing well. They are producing walks, strikeouts, singles, extra base hits, home runs at a good rate and there is variety from game to game.

Re: TNK 2015 Sliders
I'm enjoying these sliders in the sense that I am pitching/drawing more walks than I ever have been. Pitchers energy loss is much more realistic, especially with the amount of pitches all of them are throwing.
However a long with that, in 11 games as the Jays (with all that power) I only have 2 home runs, a Bautista backside jack, and an Encarnacion 2-run bomb deep to left. Both in the same game in Minnesota. I also only have maybe like 6 or 7 strikeouts for, and only struck out a handful of times at the plate. Any suggestions on sliders I could change to adjust this?
For the most part, I absolutely love them.
Edit: My lack of K's could be due to the fact that none of the Jays pitchers have overly high K/9 ratings.Last edited by DanglingPenguins; 04-07-2015, 11:32 AM.NHL: Edmonton Oilers

1) When hitting - wait for your pitch, you have to be willing to take and sit while waiting for a pitch to drive in a hitters count. I am always more successful and the HR are there when I am more patient and work the counts. These sliders do not hamper HR totals
2) When pitching - you have to be willing to throw balls on purpose, DO NOT put every pitch on a corner. Mix up your 1st pitch selection and when you have a guy in a 0-2 hole....you need to think like a MLB pitcher and put him away. Whether it's coming up and in or away with a fastball OFF THE PLATE or putting a changeup in the dirt or yanking a slider out of the zone.......I've struck out 9 and 8 with my starter in my last two games.
You just need to really focus and work on getting better at those things.....you will have success. The beautiful thing about this game and these sliders is that you have to earn it and be sharpComment

Re: TNK 2015 Sliders
For those interested, a tentative version of the TNK Team (TNK, P.A.D. and HighCompPct) 2015 Hall of Fame sliders has been posted in a separate thread.

Re: TNK 2015 Sliders
Hey guys, I am using these sliders and have noticed something and I dont know if its the norm or not. In 3 games I (reds) have scored 8 runs. Every other team is closer to 24 runs through 3 games. Am I bad at scoring runs or are teams scoring a little to many when simmed?Comment

REMEMBER - right now we are testing with these sliders......these are not meant for you to start your franchise and then wonder why things aren't perfect. We are getting there but still need more of a sample before we adjust sliders.
I'd like it if you could post your box scores as you play games to help with the data gatheringComment
