Any time I crush a ball it's either a tapper or a fly out on the warning track.
Ant advice on how to hit hrs?
Hang in there. It will come.

I will be taking a break for the next 48 hours from the game. I have not stopped playing since release day.

I am now mired in a massive cold spell at the plate. I am not seeing the ball well, swinging at too many out of the zone pitches, getting behind often in the count.

That clearly signals a break for me.

      Back at it on Monday.

Well.. After a beating the NYY two straight games and winning home opener vs WAS.. I've lost the last two games vs WAS.

In the 3 win streak, I was crushing the ball having no issues with runs. Last two games, I've scored 1 run each with most hits being softly hit.

Just another great example of the realism this game has with every game producing differently.

Lol, this happened to me as well I had to be done after Aaron Harang shut me out while giving up 4 walks and 8 hits while having him in three bases loaded situations and him striking me at all three of them. Stopped playing for about 3 days after that lol.

Pretty sure a lot of our hot and cold streaks are based on who we play and how hot or cold their players are.
I recently swept the cubs in a 3 game series in which I won 9-1, 8-5, and 6-4.
I then traveled to Atlanta and lost 3 of 4 and only scored a total of 8 runs in the 4 games.
I then played the Pirates in my next game and scored 7.
Still not hitting hrs, I have hit 23 in 35 games.
I am telling u I crush a ball and fly out to the warning track 3 or 4 times a game.

                My Review of A&S sliders

Hitting:I have a love hate relationship with hitting lol and these sliders are wonderfully frustrating! All the variety is there strike outs are there and the biggest thing is the how unpredictable hitting can be from game to game even inning to inning which is very real life like I have no complaints in this area

Pitching: Classic Pitching simply put the only way to pitch and A&S nailed this down with no complaints

BaseRunning/Fielding: I will say when it comes to baserunning and more importantly the pickoff/steal game...its stale and lacks the feel of the pitchers/runners interaction..mainly because cpu doesn't really take leads and if you quick step through to first twice mostly likely the second one is going over the first baseman head (im not knocking the sliders just trying give input of what i have seen sorry if it sounds negative) i play with the nationals (GO NATS) and love stealing bases I get picked off at first sometimes when i take leads but its never the 3 or 4 picks off attempts when my speeders are over there/ Fielding is lovely only real thing is the off the mark throws happening a little too often but I see you put fielding errors down pretty low so i don't think thats fixable without messing something up as a slider maker for 2k I know how it can be a check and balance game

Look:the best sliders when it comes to this looks like im watching a game..sometimes it cuts to a long cut scene of the park and i forget im playing a game lol and for the ultimate broadcast feel I would use

clean screen (as stated on the first page)
                Broadcast
                QC off
Broadcast camera for fielding and in play view when hitting
                whatever hitting camera you use

QC: the sliders using QC have been fun and time saving I just struggle at the plate with them on because I like to see a lot of pitches to get in a rhythm but thats just personal preference i like the change you made to make the Pitchers Fatigue the same as the non QC sliders as they did a better job with the feature this year

Realism:IMO these are as close as real life baseball replication you can get alot of downs and ups

Suggestion to help with the baserunner/pitcher/catcher interaction

I really wish there was a Pickoff error slider

what i plan to do is this
                CPU PickOff +2
                Steal Frequency +1
                Steal Ability -1

I will be testing these for the next month of my season and will report back what i have found

                16th SO 146
                9th Win Percentage .571

Having a problem getting runs home as you can see really fustrating lol but if you watch the nats its are real life problem too striking out WAY too much gotta start being more patient only thing that stands out is the 15 steals and only caught once

Excellent post my friend. You're spot on with your observations. I agree with basically everything you said. To go even a step further I would like to lower human consistency to 3 to induce more wild pitches and hit batters. Also helps make pitching just a tad harder.

I keep bouncing back and fourth between zone hitting and directional. I'm curious for you directional users, do you try to move in the direction of the ball after it is pitched or do you place your direction prior to the pitch and just look for a spot?

Hitters counts (0-0, 1-0, 2-0, 3-1) I will sit on a specific location. Other counts I will go with the pitch.

Just curious if playing on veteran will compromise these sliders or are they OK for any difficulty?

Pretty good. All depends on the pitcher batter matchup and PCI size, ratings plus my timing.

Hence why I love the new directional hitting. Ratings drive the dice roll but user input and baseball IQ are needed to be a solid hitter over the course of the season.

I personally only influence my direction in situations where I really need a ball hit somewhere (like a sac fly, or a grounder to the right side with a runner on third with the fielders back and 0 or 1 out, etc).

So basically only a few times per game, if that.

And when I do it, I place it prior to the pitch and never move it.

There is a hybrid set on page one with veteran hitting and all star pitching.
