Pretty sure the only reason speed is at 6 is because thats what were using on the online leagues both

6 seems so much better... Just had 15 hits the last game I used with pitch speed at 6

Re: Armor & Sword's MLB The Show 15 Timed (Directional)/Classic Simulation Sliders

Currently 10-11 in my Phillies franchise with 2 games remaining in April against the Cardinals. Boy am I struggling to get hits, score runs and put any type of winning streak together. Some hitting stats through the first 21 games of my season.

            Batting Average - .192 (30th)
            Runs - 55 (29th)
            Hits - 135 (30th)
            Doubles - 17 (30th)
            Triples - 3 (T-19th)
            Home Runs - 9 (30th)
            Runs Batted In - 53 (30th)
            Stolen Bases - 28 (T-1st)
            Caught Stealing - 0 (1st)
            Base on Balls - 91 (1st)
            Strikeouts - 210 (28th)
            Slugging Percentage - .264 (30th)
            On-Base Percentage - .284 (29th)
            Total Bases - 185 (30th)
            GIDP - 14 (T-25th)

Here are the scores for my first 21 games. You'll see I have had only 2 games scoring more than 4 runs. Horrendous. Best streak is 3 games when I swept the Mets.

            W 7-1
            W 3-2
            L 3-2
            W 3-2
            L 4-2
            L 3-2
            W 1-0
            W 4-3
            W 4-3
            L 9-3
            L 4-1
            L 4-3
            L 1-0
            L 6-5
            W 3-1
            L 2-1
            W 2-1
            L 11-3
            W 2-1
            L 1-0
            W 4-0

I don't know if it is wear and tear on my eyes after all these years of playing or slower reflexes with my thumb, but it's been such a struggle with this year's version of The Show. More-so than any other year. My pitching is completely fine. No issues there.

I just made the move from Veteran to All Star hitting and had some issues initially until I discovered what a wonder the timing slider is.

If you're struggling with Philly, that's realistic, but if you want a subtle but noticeable change that makes hitting just a tad more forgiving, up the HUM timing slider by 1 to a value of 6. You'll whiff less and get 1, maybe 2 hits more per game. It's a great adjustment.

Of course we're going to struggle so I'm sure that's part of it, but I was having some trouble as well, then I upped pitch speed to 6 and it was like a magic pill, or a shot in the.....arm? Ha, either way you get my drift, try 6.

I changed to dynamic difficulty adjusted the dd slider down 1 from default, and maxed out the pitch speed slider. Starting to hit well now. We will see if the trend continues once I progress to All Star Hitting. But I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy Rookie+ at the moment. Ha

Based on a 30-game sample size & using these sliders, my only concern (for lack of a better word) & how simple stolen bases area...

I've noticed that you're leading the league too?

Should some adjustments be a consideration here? Any truth to the rumor that the SB success slider is reversed?

Yes but 22 of those stolen bases are from Ben Revere with 10, Odubel Herrera with 7, and Freddy Galvis with 5.

                      Revere is a 94 speed.
                      Herrera is a 81 speed.
                      Galvis is a 67 speed.

                        Love the sliders.

Was playing default dynamic until today and wow! i can compete!
                        Except against those stupid Cardinals

Take a no-no into the bot 8 at Busch with Homer Bailey.

Gave up 6 runs went through 4 pitchers, seems as if my 5-0 lead gave the Reds pitchers a case of the Man-Ram and walked in the tying run. Then gave up the lead on a wild pitch.

                        Craziness lol

One of the best games i ever partook in lol

Here are the scores for my first 21 games. You'll see I have had only 2 games scoring more than 4 runs. Horrendous. Best streak is 3 games when I swept the Mets.

I don't know if it is wear and tear on my eyes after all these years of playing or slower reflexes with my thumb, but it's been such a struggle with this year's version of The Show. More-so than any other year. My pitching is completely fine. No issues there.
I don't know man. Even though you've played 10 less games than the real MLB, the worst team in baseball is hitting .223 right now. You could give it a few more games but I'd say you're overmatched where you currently sit.

Everything in every category offensively is so low that I'd almost suggest going down in difficulty. That or try DD.

If you feel like you need to play on your current level, I'd drop the pitch speed dramatically (are you late often?). That, or I'd either bump the timing slider and/or the solid hits slider.

I have never been this overmatched in any Show game in the past. I just don't get what the deal is this year. I played on Veteran hitting from MLB 07 to MLB 14 (including 2 World Series wins playing all 162 games plus playoffs) and wanted to try All-Star hitting this year. I am on default pitch speed too. I don't feel like there are enough walks on Veteran.

I bumped up the Timing slider to 6 yesterday.

You really need to try the Hybrid quick counts set with pitch speed at 3 and keep contact and power at 5 instead of what I have there.

You will get walks (turn off check swing appeals to enhance walk frequency as well) and you will mash more.

Let me know how that goes.

I will give it a shot. I already play with appeals off. Obviously, playing as the Phillies I don't expect to hit even .260, but I definitely need to do better than under .200 24 games into the season.

Even as soon as last year I didn't have trouble like this. Played a Franchise as the Rays and made it all the way to the ALCS in what was the most fun season I ever had in The Show.
