I didn't care for those adjustments, but I did bump up solid hits to 6 on the first post. Other changes from today are still there too.

My Tigers just are no threat at the bottom of the order...just like real life!

We need Pedro Alvarez back asap.

Going to stream player lock of the Tigers 2015 All Star, Ian Kinsler in about 5-10 minutes.

Then, I'm caught back up to the MLB schedule!

I'm impressed that the game selects the reserves by performance and not fan vote like the starters. Kinsler was 3rd for 2B, but was selected instead of 2nd place Pedroia who clearly was having a worse year.

If Kinsler was your only All-Star, it could be because of that as well since all teams must have an All-Star selected.

Adjusted a few user hitting sliders and I think this'll finally help balance the user HRs.

I was worried upping the user power was going to inflate my offense since I was scoring at a decent clip, even without the homeruns. Turns out my offense hit a rough patch in the 2 games vs the Reds where I implemented the changes...1 run on 2 hits off Jason Marquis and 1 run on 3 hits vs Homer Bailey. Still no homers the last couple of games and a lot of balls hit at people, but there seems like there were a couple of balls that I just missed.

Overall, the changes feel pretty good, so I'll keep you updated as I start my next series vs the Phillies.

                Excellent. Please do!

I'm not a conspiracy theororist, but it feels this game has a lot of mechanics under the hood, and it's more than just hot and cold streaks, and players being tired. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I always seem to notice a big difference at the start of a brand new franchise, versus the dog days of summer, for instance.

The fact that my team just had a 10 game winning streak, a loss, a win, and then a 7 game losing streak followed (finally!) by a win...

But regardless, these things happen in real life. I remember reading somewhere that every team for x amount of years have ALWAYS had a 4-5 game winning streak, and a 4-5 losing streak. That's every team in MLB.

Started my Red Sox franchise and swept the Phillies in the 3 game series with the updated sliders. I like the feel for hitting and although both teams hit 5 home runs in the series it wasn't too much. Pitching I usually use classic soothe switch to meter is a big difference. I will keep the meter as I have thrown walks which is always my biggest concern there could be pinpoint accuracy. Great set! I can post some box scores of you would like me to. Many people like to see box scores before they try a set.

                    Awesome, and yes, please do!

I always go through my box scores and pitching/hitting analysis after each recorded game. My last game I even described what it is I'm looking for when looking at output percentages in a typical scenario.

Not every game is identical, of course, but I basically check for:

                    PITCHER ANALYSIS
Strike % around 60-63% for both teams
First pitch strikes around the same %

                    HITTER ANALYSIS
Foul ball percentage 15% for both teams
20% for swings that end up as misses*

*Must look at the two categories individually, as otherwise the game calculates the miss percentage based on all pitches thrown. We want to see the percentage of misses on SWINGS. Should be around that 20%. So typically you'll see say 60 swings per team, and around 12 misses per team.

I also look at groundball vs flyball/lineout. Even though I see a ton of GIDP, I'm still seeing close to 50% for GB%. I think I just make too solid of contact with my super slow hitters like Miggy and Victor. Recipe for a lot of GIDP, just like the real life Tigers. I usually just drop my controller out of disgust!

Another thing I would be interested to know is what your stolen base statistics look like. In games where I've used your set, I have 16 stolen bases and only been caught once. Eric Young Jr is 11/11, Simmons is 2/2, K. Johnson is 1/1, Maybin is 1/1, and Gosselin is 1/1. The only person caught was Bethancourt on a botched hit and run.

I don't take any extra lead, so I'm stealing from the standard leadoff. I try to go in regular running spots, where the pitcher is behind in the count.

                      Thoughts?

I'm around 84% and I have the top 2 base stealers in MLB in Rajai Davis and Anthony Gose. They switch off in the leadoff spot, and are premiere base stealers. I don't see any issue with it as the real life Tigers also lead MLB in stole base attempts.

I still see them being thrown out, and guys like Cespedes are hit or miss, hovering around 55-60% with a handful of stolen bases. I use double steals a lot with my top 2 guys, so even guys like Victor Martinez have 1-2 free stolen bases. Not everyone though--I won't steal unless I'm pretty confident in the situation.

And I think we're 3rd in MLB in success rate. In previous years without premiere guys, I was always around 20th in success rate :/

Break time: Gonna play my Saturday game as it seems I always have trouble keeping up on the weekends.

                          We're 44-47.

Ok, I'll roll with it as is for now, as it could just be small sample size. Most of my stealing is done with EY Jr, and he's one of the fastest in baseball (when he gets on base lol). Also, I believe one of Simmons steals should be the prototypical "Catchers Indifference" ruling, but the game seems to reward that situation with a stolen base anyways.

Yes, I believe those are scored inaccurately, but I also don't remember for sure.

I'm about to stream my Sunday game as the Tigers look to sweep the Orioles.
