I am looking at dropping Starter Stamina back to default only when I sim any games.

So when I play games I will use the value on the OP, but in simmed games around the league (as well as if I sim any of my own games) I will dial it back to default as the stats are coming out pretty spot on in regards to innings, complete games etc.

I thank JoshC1977 for doing the sim testing on this!!

So the OP has been updated.

So to summarize when simming any games make sure these values get set before you do it:

    CPU/HUM Pitcher Stamina - 5
    Injuries - 5

When playing games go back to the slider values on the OP.

I realize it can be a slight PITA....but if you want realistic simmed pitcher stats and injuries being realistic in both simmed games and played games (8 for games you play) it literally takes less than 30 seconds to do this.

The other option is to create another slider set you can save and call it Sim Slider Set and simply load it before you sim....then load your normal Armor/Marino set for actual played games.

    Choice is yours.
Do you need to this only for user conntrolled simed games or for the games that get simed when advancing the day in franchise as well

I'm thinking I may have to stick with Hall of Fame pitching.

So far, through the first 8 games I'm 7-1 and my team's 1.77 ERA leads the Majors. I'm still waiting to go out and get shelled but I just dominate every game.

For the same reason some people are dominating All-Star while last night I had to rally from 9-6 down in the 9th to win with my fantasy Rockies.

There's probably something subtle with ratings, with how we play, etc.

Just like some in this thread are dominating HoF Classic pitching.

Give it more than 1-1/2 games, you will allow runs trust me.
I played 2 games last night in my Reds season, game 1 I beat the Mets 7-6. Game 2 I beat the Pirates 5-2. They only had 2 runs but had 13 hits.
For everyone that is dominating pitching I suggest you give this a try. Is does take away from setting up batters but I think you will see more hits and runs giving up. I fell i have mastered classic pitching on allstar but moving it up to HOF just wasn't realistic. I should not have the best ERA in my franchise with the braves pitching staff through 50 games. It has been a small sample size 5 games but trying this way out I have giving up a lot more hits and definitely more runs.

This method is akin to ciach suggestion on play calling for Madden. If it works for people to get more of a challenge thats awesome!!!

How do you "master" Classic pitching? It's literally just pressing the button

Lol Agreed. I really dont want house rules for the show like madden but its working so far. But who knows maybe My staff is just going through a tough few games.

Its more than that and how you set up batters is key.

Give what a try? I'm trying a game with cpu contact and timing at 6 and power and solid hits at 5. Also moved fastball pitch speed to 6 and offspeed pitch speed to 8 as I am scoring 7+ runs pretty consistently and pulling mid 90's fastballs too much.

Using api with catcher suggestions for pitch type and location.

On a side note the Reds ate about to be 9-13 this year.
Guess what my current record is in my Reds season?
                            Yep 9-13.

So if u are worried about a lack of CPU runs with all star pitching, don't be.
The Pirates just scored 8 runs off of me in my last game.
8 runs on 14 hits and 3 hrs. Alfredo Simon stunk up the joint.
He only lasted 4 innings giving up 6 runs.

As far as hitting goes do you guys utilize the left stick to try and influence hits or simply buttons for swinging? I dont mean situational (ie. fly ball for a sac fly etc) I mean every AB? I don't and am starting to wonder if my abysmal hitting is a by product of that as it seems like I'm under anything up in the zone and over anything low in the zone so unless its in the middle 3 quadrants I'm basically screwed. I'm used to the style of simply pressing one of three buttons to swing and thats it but it seems like this year its vastly different, either that or I'm reaching at straws to explain why my guys cant do anything unless the pitch is right over the heart of the plate. I feel like there is something I'm doing wrong or differently then everyone else here as my offense is a joke and its really starting to ruin the game for me. I'm not swinging crazy, last game I struck out 5 times and walked 3 but I also went an abysmal 2/28 at the plate and I was constantly getting "good" timing and watching as guys did absolutely nothing with the ball. If it weren't for a Carl Crawford single followed by a HR from Howie Kendrick I wouldn't have even scored. I know I may have to test the waters on veteran for hitting but I really want to figure out this All-Star thing and I'm left scratching my head as I appear to be swinging at good pitches with good timing yet the results are garbage over and over again. Any help would be appreciated.
