And I guess that is my problem. I'm not sure if my scoring 7+ runs in each of 8 games (6 in my Yankee franchise and 2 in my Mets franchise) is just part of a hot streak in the ebbs and flows of a season or if I need to try HOF. I love being able to score a bunch of runs the odd game, but it seems to be happening too frequently, especially against good pitching staffs like the Astros and Royals

I would tweak the User hitting down a notch in places first before jumping an entire difficulty level.

Save your sliders as they are for backup and then lower Contact and/or Solid Hits by 1 or 2 (or more if you feel frisky) and see if that doesn't limit the higher scoring games.

If you just can't be stopped on All-Star for, say, a month or 3 weeks in franchise time, then move up with the sliders you had before (hence why save them as a backup).

Anyone playing with solid hits at default instead if 4 for Hum and CPU?

For those struggling to hit, try using the MLB 16 camera, I did it and it was night and day for me. Pitch locations and pitches were fairly readable as well.

That's the camera I use, but still struggling and it's awful. Like 1 run a game. Might have to drop to Vet.

Yeah this is a good idea. I use a custom cam behind the pitcher pulled all the way back just to keep up with the pitches. Of course I have the pitch speed cranked up so a 95mph fast ball is really challenging to catch up to.

Camera used does make a difference no doubt and may help if your struggling to read the pitch.

I use custom camera and zoom it in until I can barely see back of home plate. Works wonders

Maybe I just suck, no idea. I'd give it more time then 8 games though. I wasn't doing bad in my opening series at SD but then went to SF and suddenly I couldn't hit and the errors started racking up and I've lost 3 of the first 4 by a combined 10-0 score. I draw walks a little better but like every year with this game my entire team always seems to go into a slump at once instead of individual players going cold while others get hot.

I started a Yankee franchise with HOF hitting. Got 7 innings in and was tied 3-3. Betances gave up a 2-run shot (man, my relievers get shelled in this game on HOF). Astros had 9 hits and 5 walks. I only had 3 hits, all consecutive in the 2nd inning - single, single, 3-run homer. I had walked twice and k'd 9 times. It became pretty clear to me that HOF was a bit too much for me. Going to start my franchise over with AllStar hitting, HOF pitching and A&S sliders

Does anyone else's relievers get hammered on HOF pitching? Betances, Miller and Chapman should dominate, but I can't get through an inning with them without giving up runs

All yo pitchers get hammered on HOL pitching. Lol
Seriously tho my team ERA is over 9 my last 7 games.

Again...these play great on All-Star pitching too!

I started on AllStar but, like you found it a little too easy. This is with no human "input or skill" involved. I listen to catcher 100% of the time in terms of type of pitch and location. My issue is relievers. I can be cruising along with my starter and then my relievers get hammered. Maybe I will go back to AllStar pitching

All star is too easy but HOF is too hard. I increased cpu contact to 7 to try and get them to get more hits and strikeout less. With the Phillies I was 1st in hits allowed and 2nd in strikeouts which should not be the case.

I simply cant hit and its crazy as so many keep saying its too easy to hit. Im at the point where I feel like Im playing a completely different game then everyone else honestly. I know the first thing some will say is I havent played enough games to come to this conclusion but there are certain things that you see, and see repeatedly, that it is clear as day that hitting just isnt gonna happen. I either cant hit period or I can string a couple together but cant manufacture any runs, hell last game I played I had bases loaded with only 1 out and watched the next 2 guys hit pop ups into foul territory for easy outs, inning ended. I've never been more irritated with the hitting on this years game then I am now yet I have no idea how to fix it when it keeps telling me I'm making good contact yet the ball never seems to find a hole anywhere. My stats are beyond abysmal....

I'm not striking out a ton, I make what appears to be solid contact yet nothing. I cant even score on singles with a guy at 2nd because apparently everyone is too damn slow so they get thrown out at home. Hell I've scored fewer runs in 8 games Ive played then my Dodgers did on opening day alone, its not as if I have zero talent I simply can not get a hit and if I have a game where I can (last game had 10 hits and 0 runs) then I cant score so theyre all pointless in the end anyways. Any suggestions appreciated.

You really need to drop to Veteran.

Set Cpu Strike Frequency to 1
Human Contact 4
Human Power 4
Solid Hits 3

Try that for a while.

I might have to try that. I hit from behind the pitcher, too.
