I was actually going to recommend this. I've seen plenty of injuries at default 5.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Does this mean putting it at 5 when simming other games on same day as your game/days when you don't have a game and then switching back to 8 before you play your game and then back to 5 after playing your game? If that makes senseComment

You do? I guess I have titanium players in my league.
I have it at 10 and have exactly 4 people hurt in my organization, none at the major league level. Had one minor injury to Yelich that lasted 2 days.
Around the league, considering it's all levels on the injury reports, maybe an average of 4 or 5 out of 90 players.
When I looked up the injury reports on mlb.com, I still feel like I get far too few injuries...and that's just the major league level"Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Just change it to 8 once you are in your game then change it back to 5 right before you exit the game you are playing.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Armour, any thoughts of moving up to HOF hitting? I know there are peaks and valleys in a season, I play as the Yankees as well. I started my season over and beat the Astros 7-2, 7-1, and 9-2. I hit at least 2 homers a game, one game I hit 5, 3 with Tex. I follow your sliders/levels and am wanting to know if you are finding AllStar hitting getting a little too easy now after playing a lot of games. I moved up to HOF pitching to start franchise with the new rosters. ThanksYankees modern day

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
What about minor league games? I remember last year I had injuries set to zero and simmed minor league games only and still had injuries. But never, or very rarely at the MLB level. And I had a different setting to sim MLB games. My ps3 broke so can't go back and look at mlb 15 to see...but I think it was 5 or 6.
Anyways, it was a pain to load sliders after simming minor league games, mlb games, then played games, but it was fair.
Honestly what I ended up doing is simming the game I am going to play first. If there were any injuries I'd write it down, look to see how many at bats or ip he got before the injury. Then reload the franchise and play out the game, taking player out of game when he was injured. This felt fair to me as I never could find the right balance of injuries between simmed and played mlb games. And there are FAR too many injuries at the minor league level IMO on default.Comment

I know pitch speed is one of the "personal preference" settings and I was curious as rio what you guys roll with there.
I like having fastball and off speed at 7. Really keeps me on my toes and focused. I definitely don't have problems with not striking out enough when I'm at the plate and I can't imagine trying to hit on HOF"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders
Also keeps me reading pitches since offspeed even at 10 is going to be much slower than fastballs at 10 and keeps them from looking/acting like wiffle balls (or old-school knuckleballs)."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Go grab them from the Vault (if you haven't already), then load them up from within the franchise you want to use them and then save the franchise (this will save the set as part of that franchise) or from the main menus before entering a mode. That should set these sliders as the ones to use."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

So what I did was up the fastball pitch speed to 5 (using the show 16 camera, btw) this morning and lost my first game against the D-backs by only scoring 1 run via a home run. I know that I might be able to adjust with the new pitch speed, when that time comes when I find hitting easy still, then I might make the move up to HOF. Then again, I'm a firm believer of large sample sizes so I might not make the move, if ever, until the 2nd or 3rd month of the season.
I suggest see where you are in stats and just play a bit more. Plus, Yankee Stadium is famously known as a MAJOR hitter's park with that short porch over there. Try increasing the pitch speed as well. I know it doesn't affect stats so much but making seeing the ball more difficult might make it a little bit more challenging. Just my two cents. Enjoy!Comment
