This game is so much fun. Best video baseball game ever.

And also, Armor thanks again, these sliders make the game that much better!

Here are my some of my important Stats as midseason approaches. Keep in mind I'm the Phillies!

Phillies- 33-45

Hitting

Avg- .247 23rd in ranking
Runs- 286 25th
Hits- 657 25th
HR's- 74 27th
SB's- 28 23rd
BoB- 134 30th Finally getting the hang of being patient at the plate. Much more walks lately
Triples- 13 25th Figured I'd add this. It has been so much fun with the hit variety getting to third. I don't know what's better. Putting one out, or rounding second with the ball in the OF.

Pitching

ERA- 4.35 27th
Hits- 722 24th
Runs- 346 23rd
HR's- 91 17th
Errors 29 6th

Armor, something's wrong with the sliders in RL Jays-Rays game. 8 homeruns already in 5 innings. Don't you think they should lower SH and Power a bit??

Guys.....absolutely loving MLBTS17.

I am about to finish the regular season of my Year 1 2017 Yankees franchise. I am super pumped for the Post Season!!!!

I hope you guys can join me when I stream every post season game. It is always fun to play and chat with baseball junkies!

After we complete the post season and off season we will then focus on PJSnells brilliant 1989 roster as I play a 1989 Royals season. I already started it and love it. Bo Jackson, George Brett, Brett Saberhagan, Tom "Flash" Gordon (rookie year) Danny Tartabull. I love my 80's/90's era baseball and this will be a fun season to play out and try to change history!!!

I have a few questions.

This is my first year playing MLBTS17. I have been mainly playing DD since launch and have decided to take a break and focus on offline Franchise.

I primarily use analog pitching and zone hitting. If I implement the sliders you have tested out will I see a noticeable difference?

In other words will analog pitching and zone hitting by the user circumvent the sliders you have tested and implemented?

Armor, now that you are in the Post Season, wanted your opinion of the monthly trade slider change. I know you did a lot of trading, but do you feel that changing it monthly gave a better overall result compared to leaving it on just a single setting?

Yes it did. CPU trade blocks and activity were better when you did this method of changing the slider dynamically based on the month of the season imo.

Hey A&S. Another year plugging your sliders in. Thanks for all the hard work! I'm curious. You spoke on it a little, But With the new tendency feature,
1 exactly how often are you using the left stick to influence the swing?
2 Also, are you still primarily using x to hit?
3 do you still need to move one step before stealing a base?

1 exactly how often are you using the left stick to influence the swing? - I use it in situational moments. EG: Moving a runner to third or home, induce a fly ball to sac, or 3-0 3-1 counts with big boppers to crush a fast ball that I am sitting on.
2 Also, are you still primarily using x to hit? - I would say 80% of the time I am. I do use the contact swing in 0-2, 1-2 and even sometimes 2-2 and 3-2 counts if I am trying to move a runner over or sac, I do use the Power swing occasionaly with my best HR hitters in hitter counts with no one on base.
3 do you still need to move one step before stealing a base? - With guys rated under 90 in speed I tend to. Stealing is no joke this year and IMO a tad too hard, but I can live with it as it is a true cat and mouse game this year. Plus you gotta pay attention to the player quirks. If a pick-off artist is on the bump...no extra step.....ever.

Nice......this game will blow you away. Feels totally different from 16. Humanity AI and ball physics are simply off the hook.

Maybe I'm the only one who didn't know this already, but I found a useful tool for those who found pitching on AllStar too easy and pitching on HOF a little too challenging at times. Under the hot zone options, there is a pitching preview option. This shows the hot/cold zone for the first pitch of the at bat and only when you are pitching. Has been a game changer for me as it allows me to come up with a strategy to pitch to each hitter. It certainly isn't "cheating" as pitchers and catchers have scouting reports on hitters IRL. I still get hit hard If my pitcher misses his location as he should. But at least I have a plan as to how to pitch to hitters. Works great!!
