I didn't see a huge impact, so yes. I also already tested simmed games, and its' all "working" as before.

Man, these pop ups are killing me. I'm seeing them as about 1/3 of the outs for both the CPU and myself. Directional and Zone hitting. There's gotta be something I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help? I've played about 15-20 games so far and have only hit 4 HR's (all solo), 4 doubles, probably about 20 singles...and I've only scored around 7 runs total...I'm not joking. I'm averaging about 3 hits per game and can barely score.

In terms of the new update/sliders...it has made the ball feel better, IMO, when I do get a good bit of contact, more solid line drives versus choppers and bloops. Hasn't helped me though.

Maybe I just need to really lower the difficulty. It is the first MLB game I've played in about 7 years.

That very well may be the case (lowering difficulty for now). My last game I hit 2 HRs, the AI had 2 2Bs, and I lost 8-4. MY BABIP was not great, but was like .267 and there's was close to .500!

          Mike,

I changed to the legend pitching sliders and was doing well until the bullpen collapsed on me. Archer went 7 with 6h and 1er. I gave up 5 runs in 2 innings to the Yankees lineup. Neither team hit a HR and I continue to struggle with power. Only 2 games in to v 1.14 how are you doing?

After the patch it's like we're playing in the dead ball era. Should we up power for both Hunan and CPU?

              Hey guys,

Long time Show player but new to this forum. I was curious, Mike, do your patches like the new 1.14 call for adjustments if we're using directional hitting? Or are these just changes for those using zone? I'm playing with the original directional sliders you posted, so human contact 6, power 3, solid hits 9 (for HOF) etc. and these have worked nicely for me. Just wasn't sure if the patches are addressing both hitting styles or just zone!

Ha I had the opposite pitching experience--my starter got rocked and the bullpen buckled things down in a 8-4 loss.

I hit 2 HRs in my game today. Gotta square it up. Practice practice practice!

They effect both, but if I made recommendations for directional they'd be educated guesses at this point.

Were some of your human hitting sliders from the original post intended for directional, though? You put 6 (3 zone), for instance. I assumed this meant 6 if we're using directional. I have had a nice time with this set so it's more clarification at this point, and I understand if you're using zone then the patches won't be intended for directional users.

Not sure what anyone else is seeing but pitching on legend seems reasonable. Have given up 3.5 runs per game through 5 games, swing and miss and foul ball numbers seem similar to HOF. BAPIP doesn't seem to be helped though, the uptick in runs is mostly due to giving up 12 homers in those 5 games, thats really the only way the opponent has scored. Legend is definitely possible it seems but may need some tweaking based on what i've seen so far.

User power at one is definitely helping on offense, getting very close for me at least on that side, I personally might put timing up to 4 but I also swing at a lot of bad pitches so miss plenty.

You're correct in that's the layout, but I haven't tested directional w the patch myself.

Out of town the rest of the week, so keep sharing your results!

I had to put it on Legend. You know the game is easy when you're rooting for the other team to score. Also had to bump up the CPU hitting sliders.

First of all Mike thanks for these sliders. I have tried out a few this year and keep coming back to yours. I was having trouble hitting homeruns, averaging about 0.5 per game so when you increased human power to 1 the other day I went from 0 to 2, with everything else the same playing on HOF. I have hit 8 HRs in the past 14 innings with the Red Sox (beat the Tigers 12-4) and the Brewers (beating the Cubs at Wrigley 9-0 in the 5th), including a 509 foot blast by Domingo Santana, who is hitting about 0.180. So yes, if you square the ball up it will leave the yard. I'm about to go back down to human power 1 tho.

The other thing I did when I upped the power to 2 is I decided to take a pitch until the pitcher threw a strike, with every single batter. I was free swinging way too much. I have had much much better ABs in the past 2 games, with double digit hits both games and more walks. Patience is a virtue I just don't possess, but I think it is essential for hitting the ball in this game with any regularity. Its only been 2 games but I've seen a huge difference and there is probably a middle ground where you don't take a strike with every hitter. Anyway, just thought I'd share.
