Yeah seriously I went through like 3 games in a row where I was getting 2 or 3 late and then a few where I’m hitting 10 12 in a row so just like real baseball

Hey Mike, I am really enjoying your Slider set. Just have a question.

Did you find a big difference between All-Star and Hall of Fame Pitching? I am currently 4-3 in my Yankee franchise, but my pitching control and strikeouts have been more than I thought.

I got double digit strikeouts with Tanaka, Sabathia, Pineda, and Severino in their first starts of the season. I don't want to say the pitching is too easy but my control has been pinpoint.

Should I get a bigger sample size before messing with the sliders?

        Thanks.

I didn't find a huge difference, but on Legend I like that the AI will make you pay for mistakes. It simply provides the best balance and realistic experience with the way I have these sliders setup. On lower levels, you'll just see the AI flailing around as they won't be able to make contact or too much weak contact (thus limiting your Ks while pitching).

Where is your team ranked in Ks while pitching? This game inflates Ks during simmed games a bit, so you might not be that dominant. Also, yes, it's very early and you might just be off to a hot start or playing an aggressive/cold team.

As for walks, I encourage folks to max out the pitch effectiveness more often if you're not walking guys.

The ability to consistently through strikes all day long is the game's biggest weakness during gameplay (along with C defense), and is why I'd never vote The Show as game of the year over NBA 2K. Then again, they have a much tougher sport to try and replicate.

Are you using meter? Try to max out your effectiveness more and you'll start to miss your spots more often.

Yes, I use meter pitching. I will try and max out my pitches more.

After 7 games, I am 1st in BB allowed with 4 and 1st with 85 Strikeouts. Way too high... Second in ERA behind the Nats who already have 4 shutouts and a team ERA of 0.83.. lol

Should I go up to Hall of Fame pitching? Or jump right into Legend Pitching?

I would go to legend pitching thats what i am on and what mike has his set as in the first post of sliders it should give you alot more realism but i will tell you it takes alot of practice to get the meter down on legend.

Well, I'd recommend Legend as that's how the set is built.

Also, if you want to limit those complete games, you need to simulate with different sliders. Check that first post for details.

You have convinced me. I will try Legend and see how it goes.

In my Franchise, the Nationals are off to an 8-0 start but the 4 shutouts they have are not by they starters. The have used the bullpen...

My last game I was up 1-0 on the Orioles when Aaron Judge miss-played a fly ball and dropped it for an error. The next batter hit one to Greg Bird at first and he made an error as well. Both errors cost me 2 runs. Can't remember the last time I had an outfielder miss-play a fly ball...

Tied the game 2-2 in the 7th inning and then Judge got a 2-1 Fastball from Tommy Hunter and crushed it off the Bullpen wall in Left-Center. Talk about making up for his error.. lol

I made the jump to Legend pitching and got hammered by the Rays in my first game 9-3.

C.C. Sabathia pitched 5 innings but gave up 7 runs thanks to a pair of 3-Run homers by Wilson Ramos and Kevin Kiermaier. I did get 10 K's and only walked 1 batter. Gave up 13 hits.

Pitching on Legend is definitely harder than All-Star. Feels like if I make a mistake I pay for it. Will have to try and get batters to chase more pitches out of the strike zone.

Aaron Judge hit his 5th homer of the season so there was some good news.

In my game last night, we beat Colorado 2-0. AJ Ramos picked up save #25, and Wei-Yin Chen pitched 7 shutout innings w 9 Ks to improve to 10-7.

Marlins are now 61-55 on August 13th, 3 games out of a wildcard spot.

Middle of August in my Marlins Show '17 franchise, and we're 2 games back of the wildcard playing one of those wildcard teams in a 3-game series (Giants).

I've played every pitch of every game, and Giancarlo Stanton leads MLB in HRs (41) and RBIs (92).

I'll be streaming on YouTube shortly if anyone wants to talk Show, sliders, MLB, etc.

With all the '18 news coming out, I fired my '17 Braves franchise back up. In June, we're sitting at (23-39) with not much offensive production out side of Freddie Freeman, Ender Inciarte, Brandon Phillips, and Matt Kemp. Likewise, Julio Teheran and Mike Foltynewicz are anchoring what otherwise is a lack luster rotation, although Jaime Garcia is starting to pick things up a bit.

Freddie Freeman has hit a MAJOR hot streak in June, and he has hit 9HRs in his last 9 games. He has carried the team, as one would expect him to. Interestingly enough my only other homerun in the month of June (9 games so far) belongs to Julio Teheran, who tucked one inside the foul pole at Great American Ballpark. That's the first homerun I've hit with a pitcher in years!

Loving the way these sliders are playing!
