Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

    Mike,
Just to support u. So I am using All star hitting and legend pitching. I'm using all star hitting since I'm new to this game with sliders. I'm use to just playing with default sliders. In the past my team has lead the league in every stat including pitch and what not. Anyways ur sliders work just fine and have a real feel for thing. My team doesn't lead the league in anything and it's still fun. I'm not looking for spot on stats I'm looking for a challenging but fun game which u have provided. So I'll say ur sliders work for every difficulty and if people are complaining they just need to up the anty so to speak and move up the difficulty. Either way they are fun sliders and challenging and they do work outside of HOF

Can I use these sliders with hall of fame pitching?

It shouldn't matter. 2.5 will be released this weekend, and Thursday night Ridin and I will be previewing v2.5 of his OSFM rosters.

They play fine. I play on HOF pitching and it is a great challenge. I've only thrown my controller 3-4 times [emoji12]

            Hey Guys,

Just want to know if anyone else seems to be having this happen in their 'chise with the current 2.01. I have had 2 CPU in the park home runs on me in back to back games. I think I have had plugged in about 5 games since the newest slider set. I use the set to a tee. Game play is better than its ever been, up until that long deep gapper that slow rolls to the wall. I play with the Tigers Mike, and had Jacoby out in center on one of them, and the base runner was a 72 speed (Santana, Twins I believe), I know Jones doesn't have the best fielding ratings but Jacoby has legs. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this a little bit too much, or is it just a fluke and I need better CF's. I believe Collins was out there for the second one, and I do believe it was Tim Anderson who I know has wheels got it.

Maybe Outfielder arm strength +1 or fielder speed ? Thoughts?

Funnily enough, I have had 4 triples in the last two games and was beginning to think the same thing...a little too long to the ball or not strong enough throws back in to the infield. Willing to give it a few more games as I only had three or four through my first 38 games and two of them were misses by diving outfielders...

I got an inside-the-parker with Mookie Betts playing in Detroit. This was pre 1.05 patch so I don't remember what the fielder speed ratings were then on these sliders. Haven't seen it since but I'm thinking its just that ballpark, or maybe other big parks. I'm also doing a Franchise with the Rockies and haven't seen it in Coors yet. I think I'd rather deal with that than outfielders running down tons of hard hit balls in the gap. I could see where it would get annoying tho

Having fun with these...but I do see the OFs struggling to throw the ball to the plate. Many times the catcher is coming out to the mound to cut off the ball.

I raised OF arm strength a bit and that does help. I also prefer the fielder speed to up a notch or so to cut down on triples, but we all have different preferences. I like what the other settings bring to the game though...

I mean, these things do happen, and regularly enough - Dansby Swanson's first mlb home run was inside the park, but it involved the ball kicking off the wall in a mad way, not just rolling slowly to it. I don't know. I may go with outfield arm strength before fielder speed of I change anything but am willing to give it a few more games. This is the longest I've gone without tinkering since starting my franchise and want to keep it that way if possible.

I'll keep an eye out for those slower developing defensive plays. It sounds as though you guys are using manual fielding? I use auto, in case that helps. I haven't seen these issues.

As for the OF arm strength, just my last game Ozuna threw out a guy tagging up at 3rd trying to score. I see no issues with it--most plays at the plate are...well, not really plays at the plate; most guys score rather easily on tag plays in MLB.

As as Jacoby Jones, in the roster sets I've seen, he is rated pretty bad on defense. Definitely not as accurate as he probably should. He's not great in CF, but he's definitely pretty good.

These sliders work fine with the hybrid, just drop legend pitching to hall of fame.

I don't have Twitter, so I'm wondering if you know if 2.5 will have default contracts or IRL contracts.

Cool that you're doing a preview of them. I'll tune in for that.

Just played a live game. Love these sliders Mike!! I think I may knock difficulty on pitching down to Hall of Fame... Maybe not. I think I started getting lazy in the 7th and the cpu made me pay very bad! Gave up 7 total over two innings as the Marlins, vs the Cards in the 7th and 8th. Plus my meter skills are a little off trying to hit that thin yellow line. Lol. It started when my starter got into a 2 on 1 out jam in the 7th. He was getting tired, so I brought in a reliever. First damn pitch he hangs a curve ball, and I knew it when I threw it. Just messed the accuracy on the bottom of the meter, and he just turned and crushed it for a 3 run bomb and it was on from there... Lol. I hesitated throwing it, because I'm thinking why are we wanting to throw that pitch, but I didn't go with the gut. Oh well live and learn.

Btw, we were tied at 1 going to the 7th. My lone run came when the Cardinal starter hung a curve also and I crushed it in the first. Stats looked awesome for whole game. Just got railroaded from 7th on.. Lol
