Mike, I remember a while back, you figured out that moving the long relief guys out of those spots in the bullpen and into the middle relief roles, it would help with the sim stats. Is that still a thing or have recent patches fixed this?

I'm okay on pitching but hitting... all star or HOF... I'm getting like 3-5 hits a game only.....

playing on directional (which doesn't work by the way regardless how soon you hold the direction before the pitch and throughout the pitch)

Any suggestions? I strikeout 6 or 7 times a game. Most hits are soft ground outs or lazy fly balls.

All runs coming off homeruns.

I never use square to hit either.. always X. O if I have 2 strikes or I'm down in the 9th by a run.

Need to make better contact, and that'll come from practice. I'd utilize practice mode. I still use it to this day.

Correct. It's like gasoline--I recommend using premium, but you are welcome to try regular too.

Okay well my point is... you kind of tossed that person to the side that asked that question as if they were stupid for not reading the first post. Even though the first post clearly says Allstar or HOF.

I don't recall anywhere it saying anything about Allstar but best results will come on HOF...... or as you put it "premium gasoline".

Wow. First game with 6 contact 2 timing (I'd been at 5 and 3) and this is it. I'm not changing anything until I see a reason too. 3-2 loss, a home run from someone not called Freeman, a bloop double down the line, small ball from the cpu, walks, strikeouts...and no wild pitches! It had everything.

And I can tell you, the set works with quick counts. Cpu pitching line 7 ip, 2 h, 2 er, 2bb, 4so. Went to the set up man and then the closer for an inning each. Perfect.

Definitely not tossed to the side; I can only speak best to what I'm using and what I feel gives the best results over a large sample size which is HoF hitting using zone.

The other settings, a lot of other folks have been discussing. I'd recommend using the search feature within this one thread as you may be able to consolidate anything that says "All Star" or whatever else.

Won our Saturday game at Mets 4-2.

0 HRs for both teams
.310 BABIP for Marlins (me)
.396 BABIP for Mets
Both teams had 3 2Bs
1 error for Marlins
11 Ks and 5 BB for Marlins pitching
7 ks and 3 BB for Mets pitching
Dee Gordon got his MLB leading 20th steal

62% strikes, 60 first pitch strikes for Marlins
65% strikes, 59% first pitch strikes for Mets
14% foul balls for Marlins hitters
21% foul balls for Mets hitters
28% swings resulted in misses or Ks for Marlins hitters
24% swings resulted in misses or Ks for Mets hitters

These sliders have settled in nicely for me.

Haven't changed a slider for 3 games since going to 6 contact 2 timing. Lost 3-2, won 7-2, lost 5-2 at the marlins. All v different games.

Only ONLY problem is still doubles. I hit 2 in 3 games. One was a bloop down the line, the other a missed sliding catch in left. I'm last in doubles by 11 (I've got 39, the most in the league is 80!). I can't quite figure out why! This is through 36 games btw. Any ideas, or do we just ride it through 162 and see what happens?!

I've definitely seen an uptick in doubles for me after having similar issues. Stick with it--make sure you're not getting under (or over) the ball too often. Line drives are going to lead to more 2Bs.

Mike i am absolutely loving these sliders most realistic game i have played in years. As funny as it sounds i hate when i play the game and win all the time ur sliders give a great balance keep it up man
