Also once I get a few weeks into my season I like to fast forward through most of my game and just play offense or just pitching or just as rookies ect.. Do I need to change HUM stamina to get the same effect as simmed CPU stamina?

Sorry if you've already answered similar questions
You'll want to play it as RTTS almost. Since it's very difficult to adjust sliders RIGHT when the AI goes to their bullpen in RTTS, I'd probably just go with 5/5 for AI stamina and hook and see how it goes.

If you can sim the games before entering your own, you can do as we're doing with the switching of sliders for simmed games.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Been working on a few Quick Count edits for pitching, as I think they play perfectly whilst hitting.

Now, I'm pitching as the Braves, and they suck, by and large. IRL they have given up over 8 runs per game in May and are now flat last in team ERA. So I appreciate I will face a lot of adversity this year! I was doing ok in game my ERA was 12th, I was 13th in Hits allowed, 9th in HR allowed. That was until this three game set against the Nationals, during which time they went 40-117, struck out 12 times, hit 8 home runs and scored 24 runs.

The core problem with QC is the number of generated 3 ball counts/tendency for the CPU to swing at the first pitch. On top of the above numbers I think I walked a minimum of 4 a game, not outrageous, but when you consider also the number of hits that would have come on fastballs down the middle of the plate (even with the marker on the meter hit bang on), thrown on 3 ball counts, because I was sort of obliged to throw them, it becomes much more challenging. Also, the ability for the CPU on legend to discern balls vs strikes is that much better that they don't chase as much so they can draw the walks.

The other thing I saw was a large number of fouls. I think they fouled off well over 30% of pitches thrown in all three games, which is too high, so I wanted to see if there was a way around that too...

At the moment I have made two changes, hum control to 3 and cpu contact to 3. I played one inning on these last night (it was the 9th and I was fed up so tried something new) and immediately gave up a home run to Bryce Harper and a line drive single without getting an out, so I don't think they are going to weaken the CPU too much, but I do want to give myself a chance in some of these situations!

I realise I should also note, I played the whole of the nats series (up to inning 9, game three) on control 2, contact 4, so this is a one tick adjustment for me both ways, and shows what a struggle it was even on those slightly boosted settings!

Anyway, if anyone else out there is playing QC and having these thoughts, this is my 2 cents, if you all think I should just man up and go back to post 1 I'm willing to do so!!

Had a real nice chat with some folks during today's stream. Thanks for stopping in. That was nice, and I hope it was helpful and enjoyable for anyone watching as well.

Watching my OOTP league game from today, and the SPs walked 7 and 8 guys.

So how do we produce such a (rare) game in MLB The Show?

Cause you know... uhm... the pitcher pitches to a HITTER.

Your Human pitcher control is already 0........

                      1) In before the ban.

                      2) You asked how to lower CPU hitting because pitching was too easy. As soon as you can explain to me how that makes sense, I'm here to help.

                          Mike...

Been behind the scenes, enjoying the game with these sliders...

Minus a single uptick to OF arm strength, I'm using the sliders AS IS & earning what few victories I have... LOVE it!

                            Hey Mike

I tried about 5 games so far without your sliders and it's the first time I didn't not ever change the sliders mid game or after the games. They play really good. But I been playing on Veteran hitting and Hall of Fame pitching. I am not getting the challenge that I'm wanting so I am going to switch it to Dynamic for both hitting and pitching and I have it locked to Veteran+ for hitting and Hall of Fame+ for pitching. I'm going to see how that goes before I bump it up to All Star and Legend. My question is right now I have both levels in the middle. So Veteran+ is in the middle. Now does that bar raise or lower the difficulty? Meaning if the bar is let's say 50% in the middle and then it goes up to let's say 90% or close to the next level. Is that 90% more difficult than 50% or is that just determine how close you are to the next level?

I hope that makes sense. If not I can reword it. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Not a dumb question, Bryan. Dynamic Difficulty is set so that Veteran+ is a tick higher in difficulty versus Veteran. It is, however, not as difficult for you as All Star would be. I'm not sure the exact percentages or anything like that.

Your sliders are so difficult. I like the challenge but pitching is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE I try to pitch corners and its ALWAYS a ball or its right down the middle :-/ Any tips on that side would be really helpful I have been giving up at least 6 usually more runs every single game. Thank you for the challenge!
