    Game 15
    Red Sox @ Blue Jays
    Wright vs. Estrada

Red Sox scored first with a sac fly in the 1st inning. Blue Jays would get a solo HR in the 5th and a 2 run HR in the 6th to make it a 3-1 Blue Jays lead. Red Sox would make it 3-2 in the 7th with a Young HR. Then the 9th inning Sandoval gets ahis 2nd hit of the season with one out and I pinch run for him and Ramirez singles to make it first and second. With 2 outs with runners on the corners they take out Osuna and bring in Grilli. And Benintendi gets a game tying single. In the 10th inning Bradley Jr who pitch ran for Sandoval hits a 2 run double to make the game 5-3 and Kimbrel comes on and gets the save.

    Red Sox 5 14 0
    Blue Jays 3 8 1

    Red Sox: 3 2B, 1 HR, 8 K
    Blue Jays: 1 2B, 2 HR

In 3 games with the Allstar+ pitching the CPU hit 7 HR in 3 games. Granted 4 of them came in 1 game. But I want to keep an eye on it to make sure they aren't just hitting home runs and not getting a variety. They have had 5 extra base hits to 7 HR. On Allstar I was not striking too many out cause I'm 8th in strikeouts and my ERA is 3.31 which is 9th so I don't know if raising the pitching difficulty is making a improvement. Thoughts?

I raised my pitching difficulty to All-Star+ on this one with Porcello on the mound. He gave up 8 runs on 10 hits in 4 IP. I'm going to play about 5 games with this to see if that was just a bad outing or what. They hit 4 HR off me so I don't want it to make it off balance. I also lowered my Hunan Timing to 1 to try to get more strikeouts. Still had only 5 strikeouts.

        Change the difficulty to Dynamic.
To get to All Star plus you would have to go play exhibition games and play with a ace pitcher and face a double A team. Lower the CPU offense sliders to 0 and raise the dynamic frequency (the slider on top of human contact) and raise it to 10. You will over power the CPU and it will keep raising the difficulty the more you face them. It will go to rookie, rookie plus, veteran, veteran plus, All Star, and the All Star plus. You can fast forward when you are on offense. It should take you about 3-4 games maybe 45 minutes to get there. Then once you do go to your franchise and load these sliders up. But lower the dynamic slider to 0 to lock the All Star plus in. Otherwise it will keep moving.

Ahh ok I was thinking that was how you did it but was just wondering if there was a different way that I didn't know about. I forget where I'm at on Dynamic Diff. I may want to check this out some when I play next

I am going to go to All-Star + as well. I feel just a tad overpowered on all-star with default sliders.

You know, I am thinking veteran + hitting might be worth looking at as well, to drop averages and increase strikeouts just a bit (although pitch speeds the same is keeping my K totals fine, LOL)

I'm gonna stay at HOF pitching for a few games and see how it goes I liked the first one I played so have to see how they go. My Avg on Vet is good and I range on my K's pretty good between 4-10

My next game was the final game of the series against the Blue Jays. Sale was trying for his first win as a Red Sox. I raised the hitting to Veteran plus. I also faced Lariano who came in 1-0 and had a 0.45 ERA in 2 starts. I scored 2 runs in the 1st on a RBI double and a sac fly. And then a solo HR in the 3rd to make it 3-0. They hit a solo HR in the 3rd and a single run in the 4th to make it 3-2 and that's where the game would end up.

                  Red Sox 3 4 0
                  Blue Hays 2 6 0

                  Red Sox: 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 BB, 9 K
                  Blue Jays: 1 2B, 1 HR, 6 K

I struck out more but didn't have a lot of hits. I'm going to keep running with these for a few games.

Red Sox open a 3 game weekend series in Baltimore. Price took the mound for the Red Sox facing Jiminez. Sandoval had a 2 run double in the 4th to make it a 2-0 lead. Baltimore answered with 1 run of its own the bottom of the inning with a Davis RBI double to make it 2-1 and that's where the game would stay. Price went 7 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 8 SO and Kimbrel would get his 8th save of the year.

                      Red Sox 2 6 1
                      Orioles 1 7 0

                      Red Sox: 2 2B, 3 BB, 9 K
                      Orioles: 3 2B, 2 BB, 10 K

Another pitchers dual. I did get 9 strikeouts in 2 games in a row since moving up to Veteran Plus so I like that. First game this season where no team hit a HR.

Game 2 of the series against the Orioles with Porcello on the mound facing Bundy. Porcello was looking to bounce back from his previous start where he gave up 8 runs in 4 innings. He started really good as it was scoreless until the 6th inning. Red Sox would get a run on a bases loaded walk to make it 1-0. Then the wheels fell off for Porcello as he gave up a solo HR and a grand slam in the bottom of the 6th. The Red Sox went into the 9th inning with only 1 hit. In the 9th inning the Red Sox had a walk and a single and then Sandoval hit a 3 run HR to make it 6-4. They brought in Britton and he gave up a 1 out single to put the tying run at the plate. He got Bradley to pop out to get the 2nd out. The Orioles than put in Givens to face the RH Bogaerts to get the last out. I'm thinking about lowering the manager hook to 2 when they have the closer in cause this is the 2nd time this season the CPU pulled the closer.

                        Red Sox 4 4 0
                        Orioles 6 10 2

                        Red Sox: 1 HR, 4 BB, 10 K
                        Orioles: 2 2B, 3 HR, 3 BB, 9 K

Another good strikeout input for me but I'm sure seeing a difference in my hitting.

I am All-Star plus pitching and Veteran plus hitting now and loving it as well. Tweaked the difficulty just enough to present a balanced challenge, so I am rolling with these sliders now at that level.

I just wish you could set it there form the get go.

April 28th game Vs Boston Red Sox

Was a great game. Jon Lester Vs. E. Rodriguez. I hit a solo shot in the 3rd to put us up 1-0. Boston score one in the bottom of the 3rd to tie it up. Then after a couple walks in the 4th the Red Sox managed to get one more. Red Sox would add another in the 6th to go up 3-1. I had my chance to get some runs in the 7th, I had Russell going for a double with Zobrist ahead of him and one out and Zobrist got thrown out at 3rd. Then popped out to end the inning. Tried to come back in the ninth off of kimbrel. Baez popped up but Hanley dropped the ball. Schwarber came up and got struck out on a 2 seam corner pitch. Bryant would then go opposite field for a run scoring triple they were playing him to pull. That made it 3-2. Now Rizzo was up and hit tattooed the first pitch he saw opposite field and it looked to be going off the wall for a game tying single but just curved and hit the wall foul. Rizzo would then foul the next few pitches off and ultimately fly out to center on a Chris Young diving catch.

Well guys I think I am going back to hitting Veteran and pitching All Star. I have played 4 games with Veteran+ and I was liking where it was going but I feel the ball being weak with contact. My BABIP is .174 in this games. I'm not getting the variety of hits that I was getting on Veteran. While pitching on All Star plus I been giving up more HR's. I have given up 14 in 7 games. Which is just a little high and 4 of them came in 1 game. So that leaves 10 in 6 games. Which is better. But the CPU only has 12 extra base hits. Realistically you want a 2:1 ratio of extra base hits to HR and they aren't even 1:1 right now. And I don't want to mess with power to tone it down.

I might lower foul ball frequency for human to 3 with timing at 2 to see if that is any better. I might raise CPU solid Hits to 6 to see if that helps their offense. And I'm not doing this cause I am losing now I just don't like the feel I am getting like before.

I haven't played enough games on vet+ hitting to get a good feel yet, but I will focus on that. The last two games I played on that level I won 12-0 and lost 4-2. In the 12-0 game I cracked 3 home runs and 3 doubles. In the loss I hit 1 HR and 2 doubles out of 9 hits.

I do know for sure I am sticking on All-Star + pitching. HOF at default the CPU hammers pitches that it should not. On AS+ I feel like I only get punished for mistakes and rewarded for hitting my spots. The big difference between AS+ and AS for me is that the CPU does not strike out as much and doesn't miss as many pitches down the middle. Both good things since I was leading the league in strikeouts comfortably on AS.
