Thanks for the advice, the question was meant for the whole thread so no worries. I like where my pitch speed is right now, I’m just trying to think outside the box. I tried power swing only last game and struck out 11 times! Most before that game was 5.

Yeah, you're at the time to find your actual pitch speed setting.

I know you like where it is now, but it is what has to be adjusted to get user K's right.

great Sliders as always Armor, thank you. Like some others I too am rarely striking out. Through my fist 30 games I have stuck out 96 times (3.2/game). I exclusively use Normal swing. I noticed that a lot of times I am able to check swing on pitches in the dirt (I never get rung up), where if I would have swung it would be a K. What if I exclusivity used Power swing? I feel that I will swing and miss and have a harder time checking my swings resulting in more strikeouts. Would exclusively using Power swing mess things up?

What kind of hitter are you? I normally strike out between 3-6 times a game but I am a pretty aggressive (impatient) hitter. If I get a fastball first pitch I’m usually swinging at it, especially if the pitcher I’m facing is throwing lots of strikes. But my strikeouts increased when I moved my pitch speed from 5/6 to 6/7.

I’m a pretty patient hitter. I strike out 1-3 times a game and walk 2-3 times a game. I’ll try bumping pitch speed up one click. Last time I tried upping pitch speed by 2, I hit everything the opposite field and I still only struck out 1-3 times a game.

Game 5 was tense. In the end the Astros got the win 2-0 on the strength of 2 solo HRs and a great team pitching performance. Keuchel left in the 5th due to injury but thankfully he’ll be ok for the ALCS.

Next up we face the Indians who swept the Blue Jays in the other ALDS.

Should be a great series. I’m hoping to play at least 1 or 2 games today as I have a day off.

I'm having similar issues and was thinking exactly the same when it comes to power swings> I exclusively use normal swing as well and its just not realistic in todays game, where a majority of AB's end in a HR, SO, or BB. So I don't think I'm going to go exclusively with the power but definitely use it more in good hitters counts, as well as use it more frequently with guys who like to over swing. Guys like Stanton, Upton, Schoop, and Gallo just too name a few. Going to give this a try and report back.

Directional hitting feels to me like it got a fine tune this year and power swing works well in hitters counts. I recently pulled a 3-0 up and in fastball with JD over the monster that I think is still going! I try to think of it as speeding up or slowing down your swing if you use all 3 swing options. Side benefit is JD strikes out for me at a realistic clip.

The Indians dominated game 1 winning 9-1 and Kluber pitched his 2nd complete game in 2 postseason outings so far.

The Astros offense continues to be quiet with just 2 hits in game 1.

Hoping I can get it going again in game 2 which will be live in a few minutes.

Random question for all of you. How has power been looking to the opposite field? Question is for both user and cpu.

I absolutely see good power to the pull side but I’m not even seeing wall-scrapers to oppo field.

My sample size by itself is too small, but combined with others..we got more.

I have played every single game on the schedule in franchise yes every game! with every team eveyr stadium and I am up to about April 5 now most teams have played 6 games... or 7

and i have Not seen ONE injury not ONE at all. during a game. so the injury thing really is nothing this year, considering injuries is at 8 and these days lots of injuries happen in the real world it just isn't good enough I might try it at 10.

The CPU is hitting too many singles and not enough extra base hits in the past 10 games. I know it’s a small sample size. Would putting FLD Speed at 2 and Reaction at 4 increase the extra base hits or would it skew the stats too much?
