Next six are against division leading St Louis and Chicago. Playing Cincy was nice, but this next couple series should tell a lot about how contact modification.

Re: FenwayMac 2018 Legend Sliders
I personally lowered human timing to 4 near the beginning of my season, just for that reason, and i am striking out close to 8 times per game. My HR and 2B numbers still look great. I don't usually use contact swing to stay alive on 2 strike counts, but i do use it very occasionally in certain situations.
Here are my hit type percentages to date:
1B 66.9% (MLB avg 66.8) [2018 Rangers 63.1]
2B 17.6% (19.6) [20.7]
HR 14.2% (11.6) [14.1]
My doubles were actually high until about 6 games ago, when i hit a doubles drought. I expect it to come back up. Loving it.Comment

HUM Foul: 4
CPU Foul:7
CPU Contact:2
How many games in are you. Normally I start out swinging great until player fatigue sets in a bit. Might just need a few more games in the sample.Comment

Ball Game.
Another great feeling game. Pulled the win off in this one. They scattered 3 runs throughout the game and we struck out 12 and walked 2 using 5 pitchers.
We struck out 9 times, but made the most of our opportunities.

Re: FenwayMac 2018 Legend Sliders
Timing 4 which probably raised my K's and lowered XBH and HR a very small bit, but still looks good.
Foul Frequency 8/9 i just had too few fouls before, which may be just me, and how i time my swings. I am getting 18.2% fouls which is about right. Im getting about 35% fouls per swing compared to 39% MLB average. Im getting 28.6% fouls per strike compared to MLB average 27.4%
I dont "think" foul frequency will affect much if anything as far as the stats you are referring to, its just personal preference based on my statsLast edited by NolanRyansSnowmonkey; 07-12-2018, 12:49 AM.Comment

I really haven't changed much hitting-wise. He has good percentages on his franchise also, but the two things i have changed are:

Re: FenwayMac 2018 Legend Sliders
A wild start to the St Louis showdown. CPU did not take kindly to my 7-2 early lead AT ALL and came storming back and beyond with a total of three triples, a double and a MASSIVE home run on a curveball that...did not curve.
But I kept the pressure on by drawing walks and tied it up on a Marte sac fly followed by my own 2-run triple with Frazier. Rivero closed the door in the 9th.
Don’t ever pity the CPU. Stats are posted!Comment

Re: FenwayMac 2018 Legend Sliders
After Steven’s post about too many home runs, I was curious as to where my home run totals compare to MLB average, so I checked it out last night. In 50 games this year I have 57 home runs, which works out to be 1.14 per game. MLB Average is 105 home runs in 92 games, or...1.14 per game!
Now obviously this is average. Your higher up teams that are designed to mash will obviously be higher. The Yankees (just a wild guess on who you are using) are sitting at a balmy 1.69 home runs per game through 91 games, so you can use that as your home run benchmark.
I have always considered my Pittsburgh season a project because my goal is to calibrate the perfect set to the run through a season with the Red Sox without feeling that it is way OP. Pittsburgh will always be a work in progress, but it is feeling really damn close st this point.Comment

-MLB league average of x category
-The team with with the highest percentage in x category
- The team with the lowest percentage in x category
- The Rangers percentage in x category.
Then i expect my statistics to fall somewhere between the lowest team and the highest team, not necessarily league average, or my teams real life average. Call it the "MLB range".
As long as most of my statistics fall in this MLB Range i usually consider it plausible and realistic. Under most circumstances i dont want to be setting league records in any category. When i find this sweet spot, seems like most numbers start getting pretty close to my team's true life MLB numbers, or league average, but if they dont, hey its baseball. Teams have bad years and good years.
I dont ever try to get my stats to look just like my MLB team (whats the fun in that?), but its pretty cool when they do!Comment

Re: FenwayMac 2018 Legend Sliders
I used MLB the Show 15 for the longest time, but when I switched to a monitor my timing went sideways on me. I switched to MLB the Show 15 and there seems to be a bit of offset, so it is not straight on, and it seems to have made all the difference in see the pitch all the way in.Comment
