Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
Ok still seeking help. I made an adjustment because on all star I was seeing way to many hits. Dropped contact one. Now it’s gone the total opposite and can’t achieve more than 5 hits a game. Generally closer to 2-3. There has to be an in between here somewhere. Looking for helpComment

So what does your human hitting slider setup look like? I’m hitting on all star with default sliders except solid hits at 4 and foul frequency at 3 and I’m getting decent hit totals with plenty of XBH mixed in. Yeah I have those games where I can only manage 3 or 4 hits but for the most part I’m around the 8-12 hits per game average. If I’m patient and can work the count I’ll have more hits, unlike last night where I was half asleep and swung at just about anything. I had 5 hits in that one but was able to win 4-3 thanks to a couple of 2 run homers. I did however walk 4 times in that game.

I have mine set to the OP for allstar but contact one lower. Which was a disaster. But at the OP I can hit everything in the world. So I’m sorta looking for an in between

You may need OP for HOF. I tried HOF but was lost so I had to drop down to all star. I still struggle at times but the games are enjoyable even when losing. HOF was too frustrating for me.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
I did HOF for a while. That was a distaste. Hence why I’m looking for something in between. OP all star is to easy. OP HOF too hard. So I’m thinking a modified all star. But dropping contact wasn’t the answer.

Raise CPU pitch control to 6 for All Star. They will throw fewer 'meatballs' and force you to make good swings on less than ideal pitches.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Everyone switching difficulties and sliders, you're basically making your own set. Remember that A&S has hundreds of hours into this and one game may play completely different from the next. I might not be able to hit anything the first two games of a series and then absolutely bomb the last game. That's baseball and that's why HOF with A&S's set is the most realistic, challenging, brutally honest set I have found.Born Seattle, live Denver.

Stay the course. There is going to be 20 game stretches where you can't even connect for a loud foul. Then the next 20 games your double checking the difficulty because you can't do anything but drive ropes all over the map.
Same goes and will go for Pitching, for Strike outs, all of it.
Every year I seem to be in the minority in this, but I feel like your Hitting camera view is way more important than a lot of people think, and it is always the first thing you should look at if your struggling.
I always have two (usually default retro, then when I can't read s*** off the pitcher it seems I'll switch to a custom Wide or Offset cam that is pulled all the way back, giving me a different perspective).
I can RAKE on these settings for the most part, that is unless I dial up the fisheye that Armor uses, then you can cue Yakkity Sacks because my at bats more resemble an episode of Benny Hill.....
Also, I use batting practice quite a bit to sort these things out...
But stay the course man. Not 10, not 20. Like 30, 40 games, and I promise you things will fall into place.

Yes he has hundreds of hours in this great game. A lot of us do. But even he admits this is a base set and works wonders for him but is not a sure fire set for all because not every player plays the same. No hate intended in this statement and I apologise if I am incorrect in my statement.
I have been a baseball fan for 35 years. I have my own sliders I have perfected over 3 years that play how I view baseball. Some of my slider settings are different than his and that is ok.
I don't share my sliders personally as they are designed for me, I do not want to clog the thread and add different sliders, and I admit that I can only play on all star. I have tried HoF, for a full year in fact, and didn't have fun.
I come here not to discuss sliders personally. I come here because sometimes I learn something new and see sliders from a new perspective. I come here to help people with the game. In real life, I help people when they are very vulnerable and I take that joy from helping others and bring it here. I also come here to get away from toxicity of bashing threads, etc.
Maybe I am misunderstanding the undertone or your post and again, I am sorry if I have.Funkycorm

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino’s MLB The Show 19 Classic/Directional Simulation Sliders
While I agree in premise, I do have to disagree with some of this. People use different sliders and settings. People play different. Sometimes someone sees something different in a slider and maybe someone disagrees with where a slider is. For example, I have different views on the trade slider but am I wrong? No. Is someone else wrong in their view? No.

Sometimes with text things can be misunderstood or perceived wrong.
And I agree. Like I have always said, there is no sure fire universal slider set. Tweak to your personal taste. Always.
Some guys are able to roll with the exact OP....some don’t. The bottom line is we are here to talk baseball, talk settings, give help hints and strategies and have fun.
We have a blast on the streams too folks. Fun times. And I play with a lot of passion and emotion. So if you tune in while with the kids or wife or girlfriend....keep the volume down LOL!!!! It can get crazy in there! Now Playing on PS5:

Aviator: I feel like I did misinterpret your tone. Text does do that at times. Sorry to misunderstand.Last edited by Funkycorm; 06-03-2019, 07:54 AM.Funkycorm
