So lowest ranked in LR1 and 2nd lowest in SU2?

    Thanks

Yes and make sure the pitcher in the LTP spot is below 40 stamina

Maybe to early to ask, but does anyone know if someone will be making a 2023 roster for ‘20?

I’m using Canedion’s 2022 roster for my franchise and it’s really good. I’m hoping there will be a roster this good for 2023. I’m not interested in rosters that they adjust the ratings.

      Thanks

Yankees Year 7 News Wire has been updated with an article and a lot more is forth coming in the next two weeks to get those that have followed caught up on our 2023 season and roster.

We are almost into May and we will have a full April recap with stats standings and any injury news.

This is our 7th straight season with the 2017 Yankees playing every pitch, every inning that started back on MLB 17 and moved forward thru 18/19 and now 20 where it is now in it’s 3rd straight season! We stream pretty much every single game and they are all available on VOD as well on my twitch channel. We have some regular long time season ticket holders (CGM, Colepeyton, RaiderRen, Chrisjono9, Hillman, Meatball,Volsfan,bigrich177, and many others). It is a good time where we talk ball, old school sports and even current events on sports and life. It’s light and fun. Hope to see some new faces as well as this franchise is a special one. Especially if you are a diehard Yankee fan and see what could have been. I am looking at you Cashman.

Welp... Count me in as someone who has finally decided to go back to MLBTS 20. After two seasons into my Rays franchise on 22 I simply have had enough. It's either homerun or nothing. Very little run manufacturing. I've tinkered and tinkered but the result is always the same. Gonna go back to 20 and fire up a Pirates franchise using Bacon's rosters. From what I've been reading it seems 23 might not be much different gameplay wise, so I might find myself staying with 20 for the foreseeable future.... And I'm perfectly ok with that. PLAY BALL!!!

It is a joy. Plain and simple starting with MLB 09 all the way thru MLB 20 this series got better and better and better.

I am not placing blame in any person or company. But we had a fundamental culture shift not only in baseball but console sports video gaming in general. Our generation (Gen X and Gen Y) are not the target audience any longer (even though we have the most wealth in general now).

Once The Show went multi platform and made a full commitment to online DD and E Sports players that spelled the end for me personally.

I despised MLB 21. A soulless game imo. Yeah fielding improved….but color pallet, and the hitting engine took a terrible turn for the worst for my style of play. And I only speak to what I am chasing.

MLB 22 initially….I loved it. It felt more of a return…but as I played and played and played I found exactly that. Same three outcomes and hit variety was bad. And presentation clearly went backwards for me in many ways.

I love MLB 20…..I can pop in MLB 14-15-16-17-18-19 and also get pure joy from all those titles!!! They have that foundational core….that simulation based soul we all grew to love.

That feels like dust In the wind now.

Yeah sounds dramatic bit it is how I feel.

Because….how can you not be romantic about baseball?

MLB The Show 20: Single Season play (Classic Seasons) 1998 through 2007

                  AND

NBA 2K23: Bird/Magic, Jordan and Kobe era single seasons

                  is all I play now.

Franchise modes are officially dead to me.......I have way way way more fun "rewriting history", than playing modern era.

As always, to each their own. Play what makes you happy!

I agree with this whole heartedly. Nothing against SDS moving on with the times and trying to cater to a new generation of fans and the modern game. The problem for me is the modern game is not for me. This coming from a guy who up until 2020 was watching 2 to 3 games a day and checking in on other ones in the process. I think I realized this when I was working on the roster and watching tons of old 80's game. So much more exciting then today's game by far. I have to at least thank SDS for giving me what I have and to me the greatest baseball game of all time MLB The Show 20!

I get more enjoyment out of this game than any other I play. Let's be honest here 20 would still be good but not as good without your sliders Armor. Year after year you have came out with bar none the most realistic slider sets out there. Your Classic Slider set is what I built my roster around and I couldn't be happier with the statistical results I have seen over a full season. Thank You!

I recently purchased a usb 3.0 and have saved over 70 rosters as of yesterday. There really isnt and prolly wont ever be a need for this 43 year old man to own another baseball game. Mlb20 is the end of a era. It was a fantastic ride. No need for anyone to be upset at the change of direction at SDS. We are a dying breed of baseball gamers who have been left behind and honestly im perfectly ok with it. I personally own 3 copies of Mlb20 lol. Im good to the very end. My advice? Pick up a usb and get every roster you want, pick up a cheap copy of mlb20 on ebay...Long live classic rosters and thank you to the dozens and dozens of wonderful creators.

All of us will be getting show 23. When have any of us not got the latest mlb the show game? Bad as show 21 was, all of us bought show 22. Heck armor gave show 22 a rating of 9.5/10. It’s like a drug lol. I just admit that show 23 was already ordered for me. I still enjoy 20 and the streams. This page is really good. Good luck to all of you on 20 or 23

Good luck to all of you on 20 or 23

                              OTTB I gave it a 9.5/10

After 120 hours of game time in franchise I would give it a 7/10. And I did end up shelving it.

I actually will not be purchasing MLB23

This will be the first cycle I have missed since I started playing The Show back on 09 for the PS3.

And I am cool with it. Not bitter about it one bit for all tue reasons Colepeyton outlined above.

Could I pick it up dirt cheap one day in the distant future? Yeah sure….maybe.

21 was literally given to me. I did jot but it. And we all know 22 was a surprise gift.

That will not happen with 23.

I am just not a fan of the direction of the game. And kudos to SDS for capturing what the modern game is….3 outcomes.

That’s not baseball to me. I am too happy enjoying my Year 7 franchise and all the roster content we have. I will even start a new modern day chise one day on 20 using either Brinskies 2021 roster Candeons 2022 roster.

To those getting MLB 23….enjoy it!!!

Small tip for those playing 162 games. Use the “dynamic” camera view for when the ball is in play for both offense and defense, only when using the “MLB Network” broadcast package. It gives you that MLBN/ESPN feel with the flying drone camera. Then play your regular games on “broadcast” camera view. This gives that little extra special feel to the MLBN games. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
