If u want to rebrand and relocate a team all you do is go start a new franchise in the main menu and just pick the team u want to relocate and press R1 to replace and create your own team .

Does it "visually" look off if you compared it to real life? Perhaps. But that's why one shouldn't compare games to 'real life'.

Does it "effect the gameplay"? No; pitch speeds are independent of other sliders.

Faster pitch speeds is easier? [emoji848] not sure I follow this logic my friend lol but ok and I may have worded it wrong in regard to slider difficulty...... I meant playing on HOF as these are suggested to be played at, top that with having pitch speeds maxed would I be at a disadvantage compared to someone that is at 6/7..........but if u say it’s actually easier I’ll take that into consideration I suppose

This was insane lol 1st game i beat the Braves 9-0 and just owned them , but the 2nd game was a slugfest from both teams . WILD game with 6 ,7 or 8 homers , iunno i cant even remember . Every time i took the lead they would come right back , and each time i tied it up or came within 1 run they would pull away again the very next inning . My pitching with this team is horrible as we have one of the worst ERA's so far . Jesus Aguliar is in BEAST MODE , made for a pretty exciting game . Sauga City Chiefs vs Atlanta Braves

          I'm not Armor...

          But I'll answer.

          1. Pitch speed (which is ironic given the other conversation).
          2. Changing your batting camera to something that is more challenging to you.

Those are probably both transient solutions; you'll eventually adjust. But if you're getting too many walks (assuming you have the bare minimum sample size of around 80 games or so that it takes for walk rates to stabilize); that typically means you're seeing things too well.
          I meant user batting [emoji106]

Cool though. I get tons of walks but I'm ranked second in the majors so I'll keep it going til I hit the 80 game mark. Thank you for the recommendations

Armor, I know a few years ago you made the move from All-Star to Hall of Fame. I've been playing on Hall of Fame for years now and I think I might be about ready to make my final move to Legend. I'm just curious at what point did you finally make the move to Hall of Fame? In other words, when would you consider moving up in difficulty? I get pretty good results on Hall of Fame, and I'm definitely not thinking about switching to Legend pitching. However, I'm nearing June and I still lead every offensive category. Here's the rankings (place and the next closes team).

Batting average: .298 (2nd is Houston with .289)
                Runs: 352 (2nd is Houston with 324)
                Hits: 587 (2nd is Houston with 576)
                Doubles: 145 (2nd is Miami with 115)
                Triples: 22 (2nd is Arizona with 15)
Home Runs: 105 (2nd is Houston with 101)
Runs Batted In: 346 (2nd is Houston with 321)
Base on Balls: 3rd with 238 (1st is Minnesota with 258 and 2nd is Miami with 244)
Strikeouts: I have the 4th fewest with 416
Slugging Percentage: .553 (2nd is Houston with .500)
                On-Base Percentage: .375 (2nd is Minnesota with .371)
Total Bases: 1,091 (2nd is Houston with 996)

The NL MVP race is as follows:

                1. Willson Contreras .382 AVG, 17 HR, 49 RBI
                2. Javier Baez .397 AVG, 15 HR, 42 RBI
                3. Kyle Schwarber .363, 18 HR, 42 RBI

I'm enjoying this year's game and for the most part I've just forgotten about trying to get, "perfect," stats. I'm just accepting that the Cubs are having the best year in franchise history. Is it possible, yeah, think so. And as long as I don't have 4 guys that hit 60-70 homers I can live with it. But I just think it might be time for me to move to Legend. I feel like I've, "mastered," hitting.

Now.... with me saying all of that, I'm likely to go on a cold streak and not hit for a month. Ha. I did have a period of about 5-7 games where my offense struggled, but I've played 57 games and I'm 34-23 and for the most part kill it on offense.

If it means anything to you I’m using armors hitting sliders except on legend and it’s been incredibly fun and rewarding. It’s not too hard either.

I’m not positive right now, I can check when I get home from work in the morning. I’m actually still top 10 in most categories. A lot of that has to do with me scoring 15 runs and 24 hits the second game of the season though, stats are very inflated from it. I’m only a couple weeks in this franchise but I’ve been using legend directional for most of this year though. I still get HRs, hits and everything it just feels much more rewarding when I’m on legend and smacking the ball around the park. It all just depends on how you play or what your motive is. A lot of people obviously love HOF. I liked armors approach and just upped the difficulty to legend and absolutely love it now.

I've had two games where I just absolutely annihilated my opponent which has resulted in somewhat inflated offensive stats. Again, though, I'm just having fun with the game this year and trying my best not to get caught up in trying to make it a certain way. I'm playing on Hall of Fame, after all. So it's not like I'm putting it on rookie and just destroying everyone.

Has anyone noticed any crazy pitching issues such as not being able to throw strikes all of a sudden after pitching well the first few innings? Seems it happens every game after I have a lead or the game is close and then boom, I give up 7 runs. I have played 25 games as the Pirates and Mets and it has happened in all of those games except for the 5 games that i won out of those 25. I have played 10 games with the Yankees and these issues did not happen. I realize the Pirates staff is not good but the Mets is Pretty decent. I got blasted by The Nats with Degrom and Syndergard. Both gave up big innings. Degrom gave up 7 in one inning and Syndergard gave up 7 in 4 innings. Feels like the game is on HOF + or Legend but its not, all settings are exact. Not complaining but just wondering if anyone else is seeing this. My hitting has been fine as I am able to score runs all different ways but this pitching is crazy.

This is a great question Gagnon. The answer for me is probably easier than you may think.

When I decided to move up to HOF the game was simply far far too predictable for me. Once that happens I know I have mastered a skill level for lack of a better term. And it was near the tail end of MLB 16’s cycle that I realized I needed a change of skill level. But I stuck with All-Star at the very begining of 17 and was simply feeling ho hum. No matter what pitcher I used I was simply shutting down the CPU and the trend is your friend. Hitting...I was simply not finding myself in any cold streaks anymore for the most part.

But this was using various teams in testing. Not just my main franchise team. So it came from a large sample size of simply playing dozens and dozens of games using every team in the league. I simply played as every team at least once...then again...so it takes me a lot of games to determine if it is time.

Let’s fast forward to 20. I am crushing the ball with my Yankees who are simply a juggernaut lineup. But I did go through a 3-10 slide in April. I simply went cold and my arms were getting lit up like a Christmas tree.

I am also testing constantly offline with a test franchise using Ridin’s roster. Using different teams. Also I am playing a Baconchise with the Twins and my experieince has been quite the contrary to my awesome Year 4 Yankees franchise.

So I am confident HOF is still the right skill level for me.

However others have surpassed HOF on either hitting, pitching or both (I think Legend Classic is simply too brutal). And that’s cool. And I am glad my sliders have been able to transcend to Legend as well as at the All-Star level.

                            Hope that makes sense.

It is really about my gameplay experience more than stats (which goes hand in hand anyway). If games start becoming the same ol same ol I know I am getting too good.

With my Yankees.....that team is special and if I did not win at least 95-100 games with them....then I am not as good as I thought (granted I do not suffer a major rash of injuries) and need to consider moving down a level.

I am excited to see how my Fictional Twins Year 1 turns out. And that is also the liberating thing about using a Fictional roster. I have zero expectations on what “should” be. I highly suggest everyone here take the plunge with Bacon’s Fictional roster and start up a franchise.

It is simply incredible. And it makes this years game stand out even more!!!

I meant playing on HOF as these are suggested to be played at, top that with having pitch speeds maxed would I be at a disadvantage compared to someone that is at 6/7..........but if u say it’s actually easier I’ll take that into consideration I suppose
I said it took 'less skill' and relied more on reflexes/muscle memory, not that it was 'easier'. The higher you get, the more you allow reflexes to take over. So, if you time a swing for a FB and guess wrong, you won't be out in front enough to be caught off-guard by the offspeed pitch and are likely to mash it because you'll be right out in front (which is the ideal swing timing for pull hitters). If it were a slower pitch speed setting; that split second early swing means a lot more because the pitch is coming in slower...you'll be way out in front. So, if you're on 10 FB speed...it won't matter as much as long as you have good reflexes.

Now that I say all this in this manner...what you COULD do is keep your 10 FB speed, but widen the gap between the OS pitch speed slider and FB pitch speed slider. Maybe go with 10/7 or 10/6. (I'm just spit-balling there...)
