Random thought, one thing I’m finding incredible this year in my angels franchise is how the cpu REFUSES to give mike trout anything to hit. He leads the league in walks. They will not throw to him. Makes it super realistic I guess but man I wish I could hit with my best player!

Well to be quite honest with anybody using this set I’m personally going to use Josh’s new set. I like everything he posted and it looks like exactly what I’m looking for on all star plus.

This set has been playing pretty good for me. But like you, Josh's new set looks like something a may give a try. I'll always have these to fall back on if Josh's set doesnt work out.

I think with Josh’s new set it would be really well with all star plus. Even as just a base it would be great.

The ONLY thing I may touch at all to counter act offense is moving user timing to 4. But I will start with he has in OP

On second thought the more I think about it, I don’t want to change how user hitting is for me, because it’s perfect.

That being said I will do what josh is doing for cpu hitting. I’ve ripped so many ideas from josh this is basically turning into “rmiok222 and JoshC1977 sliders” lmao.

He’s so knowledgeable though and I love what he’s doing. So I’m going to keep my hitting and cpu pitching sliders, and I’m going to give his cpu hitting and user pitching sliders a whirl.

I just don’t want to change my hitting sliders. I love where they’re at.

Also I enjoy posting gameplay but don’t like clogging other people’s threads with gameplay so I will be staying here.

I’ve decided to go a different direction because I felt like I was making too big of a change. I lead the league in Ks and have an ERA of 2.95. So instead of putting cpu contact at 6, I’m going to put cpu timing at 6. I’ve played a few games and I like it.

Obviously this change has cut down cpu strikeouts, they make more contact and square up the ball a bit more.

Nice.. I’m not a big fan of contact at 6 personally. All I was seeing is even more fouls balls and a few extra singles the opposite way.

I’m really just trying to make this game harder without going to HOF. So anybody that is using this just check the OP before your next game.

If you like the set now obviously don’t change it. This isn’t a “bible” you don’t have to follow me, or anybody else on here for that matter. If you’re liking something your using just keep playing!

Yeah, something has felt "off" the past few days. Been playing a ton of games lately with a mix of teams (Braves, Ray's chise) even played a few 'play now' games. The games aren't competitive..... like either way. I'm either blowing out the CPU or vice versa (usually me doing the a** whooping) . I understand baseball can be a wierd games at time but it just doesnt feel like baseball. I dont know, hard to explain. It's a feel thing I guess. I lose all immersion in my Chise's when I sleepwalk through lineups no matter who's in it. You know I've endorsed your sliders, and loved them this first month of the cycle. So I'm in no way trying to down your work. Something just feels off.... and it's frustrating it wants to rear its ugly head right when I get going in my Tigers chise.

You couldn’t have said it any better bro. There’s just something off with the game. I can easily win most games without even trying. Usually all my games are 1-0 after six then their starter gets tired so I get a walk and a home run and now I’m up 3-0. My relieve comes in and let’s up a dinky home run and before you know it I’ve won another game 3-1. This is how everyone of my games has been going lately. No longer do I even have to know who’s at the plate because it doesn’t even matter. I actually have a harder time striking out the pitcher than a guy like Austin Meadows.

Not to derail yours or Josh’s threads but this years game just isn’t doing it for me other than the brief week before all the updates where I had a little bit of fun. Looks like I’ll have to get my fix from 20 for the time being.

Dude I really don’t know what happened. It’s like a secret patch or something lmao. It’s not the same right now

I gotta get back in the lab because this isn’t working. I’m completely happy with hitting. Pitching is another story. I might be making the jump to HOF pitching. Something changed.

My first guess is to go to hall of fame and use what I said in that PM I sent you yesterday, but in reality this is about to be a huge experiment because all star plus pitching all the sudden is an absolute cakewalk.

I have oddly played two back to back good games on legend default. (Small sample size I know) but the pitching played fantastic. First game I used Degrom Vs the Orioles. He went 6.2 innings. His stats : 6 H, 2 R, 5SO, 2BB. We ended up losing 3-1 . (Hittings a whole different beast. ) Next game I had Cueto vs the Yankees. He could only go 4.1 innings. His stats: 7 H, 5 R, 2 SO, 3BB we lost 8-2(once again hittings a whole different beast. )
You know TONS more about this stuff than I do. I was just gonna say this was the first time in a week or so I actually had to pay attention to who was at the plate. But the CPU by no means felt overpowered. I think I'm gonna boost HUM Timing to 6 and run a few more games games and let you know what I find.

Oh I forgot to mention I'm using Brinskies fully re rated roster. He released them a few nights ago.
