Just finished up a game. Won 12-5 vs the white Sox. Chased Lance Lynn out after he gave up 7ER in 1.1 innings. For whatever reason i always destroy Lynn Lynn. I had 15 hits 6HRs and the White Sox had 11 hits 2 HRs.

This was a completely different game to the one prior, where Giolito held us hitless through 5 and scoreless through 7. I only mustered 5 hits for the game.

When my kiddos go to bed tonight I will stream, it will be somewhere between 8pm and 8:30pm EST if anybody wants to check it out.

This set is the last one I am going to try. So far Knucklecutter is up there at 2. But TNK has been the best offensive games I have had with also getting lower scoring games. HR seem a little on the too frequent side. But I will play more games and against better pitchers before I make any tweaks to that set. So you’re my last hope.

My best advice would be pick one that you think is even close to your style and roll with it. You’ll never get a game perfect.

You can always use one set for offense and another for pitching. Last year I used Armor’s offense on HOF and Josh’s set for pitching and I had good results. Josh’s set was easier for me to strikeout hitters on Allstar plus.

But at least those sets were very similar with fielder settings.

These look like what I’m looking for. Their very similar to Josh and funkycorm set. The difference being pitching on HOF. There’s just no way around it all star pitching is ridiculously easy and no slider set is going to change that. I doubt HOF is much harder but might give me the bite I’m looking for.

My god, maybe it's just me but I can not hit this year... Even on AS I can't hit, I'm really thinking about trying Vet or Vet+... But then I feel I might be too good at those levels.

The CPU hitting needs a big boost, no doubt.

Hittings definitely harder this year. There is someone on OS that stays around vet + for hitting and legend for pitching and I know he said hes really enjoying it. So there's definitely opportunity there if that's what you choose.

You need to ask yourself why you're not hitting. Are you swinging too early or too late? , maybe try a different view? , maybe a different input type? , having trouble tracking the ball? , ball speed too fast or too slow? , not being patient and waiting on a good pitch? , hitting the ball but just getting unlucky? etc... or maybe the difficulty is simply too high, there's no shame in that. Once you understand why you're not getting hits you can start to correct it.

To add to this, I always use the “clean screen” approach for the most part. I could not hit at all, then I turned on the swing and pitch info under settings, low and behold I was early on literally everything and didn’t even realize. When I fouled the ball straight back 90% of the time it was because I was early. So in the end it could be something that small.

Edit: to add on to this even more. Just like any slider set, this isn’t a bible. So if you want to put user timing up a notch go ahead, or put cpu control back at default...go ahead! Any of the non game breaker sliders..if you want to adjust just to make the game easier or harder just do it.

The only thing I’d ask is if you do change something, let us know when/if you post game results.

Just out of curiosity for All Star + Pitching are you guys using current gen or next gen?

I was using this set on my PS4 and I found everything to be ridiculously easy having nothing but low ERA's no matter my OVR and even when I made a brand new account it was still easy and no matter what I did I could not get walks it just didn't matter.

I bought a Xbox One X recently and I am starting over as obviously its not a PS and I have noticed a lot more interesting at bats, walks that count despite having a solid BB/9 on this exact set.

It almost feels as if next gen has substantially better batting although it could all be in my head hence why I am curious of what everybody here has seen.

I also have had strong games in Triple A in RTTS and then horrible games, I am hovering around 3 ERA on a Cheese pitcher at I think I am a 67 OVR now.

I have not used this on Franchise so could be a different experience, I am not sure just thought it was interesting that I feel like the AB's are so much better on next gen.

Well for pitching we are on hall of fame. We were using all star plus as well and it was too easy so we made adjustments about a week ago.
