Yeah actually I am testing cpu consistency at 5 because of that same thing. In my first 10 games I was hbp 8 times which is unheard of lol. So far in the two games at 5 I haven't been hit yet. Still getting walks and striking out plenty (as usual) so I think 5 is good. 6 is probably good too.

Forgot to mention for meter pitching I put CPU timing back at 5 as well. Same as user.

Starting to notice some things that are becoming a trend in regards to pitcher stamina and the hook slider.

After playing a bunch more I get the feeling the cpu SP stamina needs to be at least one higher than human side. Their stamina is about gone with higher stamina attributes than mine is with lower stamina attributes. This is becoming a regular thing at this point. I think with classic pitching I don't ever do max effort so I conserve energy much better than the cpu does.

Second thing, and this kinda goes along with it. The manager hook for SP at 5 is causing some trends of them trying to force quality starts that I think are unnecessary. My hitting has been bad so haven't taken advantage of their bad managing yet. But that's on me to just hit better and actually make contact with pitches down the middle instead of always being so late.

For this next series I'm gonna raise cpu SP stamina to 7 and leave human at 6. Also raise hook to 6 for the SP. Still of course raise hook to 10 once RP come in.

And the consistency at 5 for the cpu I feel is good. I want to test it at 4 next series and see if I can go another series with no HBP. No HBP last series. Drew plenty of walks still. 3 obviously too low for HBP. 4 could be a sweet spot to get the cpu to throw mistake pitches but not hit you so often.

Depends on pitcher obviously but 8 or 9 a game usually. Had to adjust the timing back or would be much more. This is just a meter vs classic issue as when I tested multiple games with classic I thought ur settings were spot on. I just couldn't handle walking 8-10 guys a game because I can't figure out classic pitching. Felt like to me everything was out of my control and I like having that lol.

I started a game with CPU Consistency at 4 to test it. In the first 3 innings I swung at a pitch that would have hit me. And the other one was a pitch behind me that didn’t hit me. So I put it back to 5.

Good to know. I'll just leave it be at 5 then. I gotta get better at hitting lol. Weird though the hbp was not an issue at all last year with same settings.

I was under the impression that everyone was good at meter but just preferred other methods.

It just depends on what method you prefer.

I am having good success with using meter combined with the sliders. I had two walks in my last game. Plus I had certain times where it was hard to throw strikes.
