Remember to max out the dynamic slider and max out all the hitting sliders.
Also lower cpu SP and RP stamina to 0. And make them start a low 50s RP for a double A team you play against. I would recommend to just play a full game and sim the pitching side first. Shouldn't take long playing with the Blue Jays or Yankees etc. You should hit homeruns like crazy. And with hook at 0 they leave the pitcher in longer to get hammered on.

Then next game do the opposite and pitch only with sliders at 0 for cpu hitting and your control, stamina maxed etc

      Thanks for the tip.
Irish Salsa mentioned the sensitivity slider and I did that.
But I didn't max out the hitting sliders. Good idea.

On allstar+ how is human pitcher control and consistency at 4 working for you guys? I'm going to test that out for myself later on today. Just curious as to what you're seeing with that setting and what kind of results you're getting. Thanks...

We tried it at 4/4 with power at 4 and solid hits at 4 and they were nerfed. We are either looking at raising power at 5 or lowering the control and consistency back to 2 or even lower. We are nervous about power at 5 cause everything felt like home run or nothing.

The Mariners swept the Marlins. The first two games were really close but the bats woke up.

Kelenic got hurt in the Rays series with a sprained knee ligament and is due back in about a week. He should only miss the Astros series.

Bad news on Robbie Ray, he left the 5th inning of the 1st game of the Marlins series and the xrays showed he had a broken forearm. He will miss 1-2 months.

We called up our top prospect Julio Rodriguez. He went 0 for his first 10 before hitting a HR for his first major league hit. We called up Darren McCaughan from AAA. We also signed Mike Foltynewicz to a one-year deal for some depth. He will report to AAA for a couple of starts.

              Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

I have been busy the past couple of days so I haven't played as much as I would have liked but I will catch up the next few days. But I did play my first game with classic pitching. I played on All Star and used 4/4 as my control consistency. I results that were very similar to what I got on meter.

              Giants 2 8 0
              Mets 1 4 0

Max Scherzer was the starter. Brandon Belt hit a 2 run homer on a sinker that was actually pretty decent. I was stunned when he hit it out. My only run came on a sac fly. My hitting never got going.

I definitely will be alternating back and forth between classic and meter. I noticed the CPU hit more balls that just seemed to drop in or find the hole in the infield and get through.

That's not bad numbers for your first time pitching with classic. Were you able to get walks and strikeouts?

Scherzer had like 5 strikeouts in 7 innings.
And I did have 1 walk. I think the reliever had some strikeouts too.

We are testing some stuff now. But you could lower control and consistency to 2 once you feel comfortable with classic pitching.

Even though I had just one walk I threw a TON of pitches. Scherzer threw about 100 pitches in 7 innings.
I was constantly missing the strike zone. The reliever was missing too and was caught in some jams.

With classic it really allows the ratings to shine. You will notice a big difference from pitching with Scherzer and a below average SP, not that the Mets have one.

I have been pitching AS+ with control/consistency at 4/4 and it's been solid along with the cpu hitting sliders we are heavily testing right now. Sort of leaning towards a lower consistency but overall I can't complain.

It is funny how that happens. You go into a game against a pitcher with a 9.50 era and you think okay I will do good and we will win. And then he dominates me.

How long did they keep Garcia in the game?

                              Haha no kidding!

I have exact setup as OP and they let him finish the one hitter! Had no energy and 98 pitches I believe. LOL

At times I get very impatient as a hitter.

Are you using dynamic hitting difficulty? I am on Vet+ hitting with it so no shame in sucking at hitting here. And slider sensitivity was at 3 to get there so it took a lot of sucking at the plate to get there lol. I'd like to keep dynamic difficulty on for the whole season but that means moving the sensitivity slider to 3 for hitting then back to 0 so I stay locked in on AS+ pitching. Kind of annoying but I really should anyway.

I was hoping they had a separate hitting and pitching dynamic difficulty sensitivity slider this year. Really love using dynamic difficulty for hitting but want to stay locked in a spot for pitching.
