The sliders have been working great but every time I use quick manage to pinch hit for someone all the stats prior to that moment in the game go away. Anyone else have this issue?

Glad you like the sliders. Unfortunately, I don’t know cause I don’t quick manage. Maybe someone else has experienced that.

I have almost finished the first series of games playing every single game on the calendar (yeah I am crazy I know lol) not ready to start simming yet. not till every home series has been played

but I can tell you this. 90% of the wins have been from the away team. very interesting hey? just about every away team has won the series so far except for Brewers and Seattle.

Sliders really make player ratings matter this year.

But after probably I'd say 50 or so games played altogether now I see that is too sporadic for me anyway. 4/4 should help get a few more strikeouts needed and far less pitches missing over the plate to get hammered. Could help with less XBH and homeruns to get more singles we need too.

I'm using 0/0 and still throw strikes most of the time, I don't throw a ball unless I try very hard to do it on purpose and I've walked no one other than the one game where I tried pinpoint and had no clue what I was doing.

Last year, I was averaging 3 walks given up per game and it felt good, not the same this season.

You are using meter, correct? I’m not sure what you can do. Maybe turn off ball marker? It might help not see where you are aiming.

              Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

A couple of updates this morning after some testing.

Baserunner speed back to 1. We were starting to see too many runners being too aggressive and going for the double and getting thrown out by a mile. This is cause the runners are getting to first base too quickly where they think they can make it to 2nd cause the fielder doesn’t have the ball yet. These are obvious singles as they are ground balls to CF. If you like what you see with 2, that is fine as well.

If you do go to speed at 1, lower Infield Arm Strength back down to 0.

Infield Fielding Errors are good at 5. I accidentally left it at 6 and we were seeing bobbles that should be errors get scored as a base hit. I had Tom Murphy hit w a bouncer to SS and he charged the ball (had no reason to cause of Murphy’s speed rating) and he tried to barehand it and missed. They scored that a single. So we are going with 5 as they don’t count them as errors. We are also seeing too many infielder dives that the ball bounces out too much.

For those who are wanting more of a Allstar + experience, we are testing pitching on Allstar +.

For that, the pitch control and consistency is back down to 2/2.

              Power up to 5.
              Solid Hits down to 4.

I haven't recently seen any runners thrown out because they tried to take a extra base with these sliders.

Must be an American League thing. Lol

Yeah if you want a sim experience you’re pretty much going to be forced to use classic pitching. Otherwise any other interface you can master throwing strikes pretty quickly

I agree. I use meter and turning the ball marker off makes it tremendously more difficult.

Sometimes I cant hit the zone at all.

I might have to turn it back on though. Its too hard. Lol

You guys have convinced me about classic.

I will start alternating pitching methods.
One game I will use meter the next I will use classic.
Switch things up and see the results.
                      Keep the game interesting.

The Rays took 2 out of 3 from the Mariners in Tampa. Sewald gave up a solo HR in the 9th to tie the game. They had a walk off single in the 10th to take the rubber match. The last two games were played on Allstar + pitching. On to Miami.

Just turn the ball marker on classic fade at least lol. It takes time getting used to but it's very fun and rewarding when you get the hang of it. I think there is more user input than most assume. Right now I am testing out AS+ with control and consistency at 4/4 if you wanna go there first. HOF pitching was just frustrating me. Took about 50 games to realize it's just too much for me lol. So weird how last year we had to pitch on legend to get a challenge.

It is early, but it seems like cpu hitting 5 power, 4 solid hits or vice versa are producing the same kind of results which I guess you could expect.

Yep, Meter. No ball marker, no vibration, no strike zone or hot zones. I think I've just got so much experience with it that nothing helps.

I may go back to pinpoint, it's a weird interface but I was walking guys with it.

Right now I am on Dynamic Legend with meter with 0/0 for control and consistency.

So when I try Classic I guess I need to make adjustments to my gameplay.
