I get it tho if you guys think its unrealistic to miss as much as you can at times but it does makes it very challenging and im all about high intensity when pitching!
I love the lower control and consistency settings. This game as always had history of leading the league in least amount of walks given. So it was nice to see me in the middle of the pack last year with them.

It is actually realistic to just not be able to find the strike zone at times don’t matter what you try.

Dang and you are using classic pitching too? That's impressive. I'm starting to think I'm just not that good at pitching on the game lol. I am getting perfect results now with OP sliders. I lost three straight to Rays giving up 12, 11, and 10 hits with 7 homeruns. Game four I hold them to 2 hits total and win the game 3-0.

Definitely I would like everyone else is suggesting, lower consistency and control if you feel like you are shutting down the cpu too much.

Im probably no better than any of you im using the Rays my team ERA is 3.04 LA is rt behind me im also near the bottom in user BA and ive always felt thru all my experience with the show the coding leans towards less cpu hitting if your not mashing on Offense. I just walked off on Toronto 6-5 in the 9th so im having a blast tho im 21-19! Also i am still 1st in least amount of walks with 91 currently 10 less than 2nd place who has 102 to me thats reasonable and probably a third of that is me pitching around big bats to avoid home runs

          Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

One idea I am using to make gameplay better is to adjust the hitting sliders during the series to make the games more intense.

Game 1 of the series use 5/3/5
          Game 2 use 6/3/5
          Game 3 6/3/6
Basically rotate through that every 3 games.

I use the Mets so this keeps my pitchers from dominating and turns each at bat into a battle where I must THINK on how to retire the batter.

My batting is Dynamic but right now I am on HOF for pitching. I may go back to dynamic for pitching one day.

Im thinking of adding a 4th day where I go to Legend and use maybe 4/3/4.

You will have games where you dominate no matter what and games where you get hit hard.

After starting over we split the series with the Tigers and Angels and go into Minnesota 3-3. We swept them in the 4 game series to go 7-3. It was 4 good close games.

              Game one:

              SEA 5 11 0
              MIN 3 7 0

              L- Chris Paddock ( 0 - 1 )
              S- Paul Sewald ( 1 )

              SEA SP- Gilbert 5 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 8 K, 2.45 ERA
              MIN SP- Paddock 4 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 6.75 ERA

              MIN HRs- None

              PotG- France 2 for 4 - 2 2B, RBI, R

              Notes -

              Game two:

              SEA 4 7 1
              MIN 2 12 0

              W- Paul Sewald ( 1 - 0 )
              L- Joe Smith ( 0 - 1 )
              S- Diego Castillo ( 1 )

              SEA SP- Gonzales 6 IP, 8 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 9.34 ERA
              MIN SP- Ryan 6 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K, 1.54 ERA

              SEA HRs- None

              PotG- France 3 for 4 - 2 2B, BB, 2 R

Notes - 2nd game in a row with no home runs Mariners score 2 runs in the 9th to win it.

The Mariners swept the White Sox to win their 8th in a row. It is weird, 5 of those wins were come from behind late in the game.

                Game one:

                  Mets 8 14 0
                  Giants 7 12 0

I went up 7-2 but the Giants came back and tied it up 7-7. In the bottom of the 9th the Giants had runners on 1st
and 3rd with only one out. But Diaz my closer got out of the jam and got the save.

Carrasco my starter only lasted 3.1 innings and gave up 6 earned runs. The worst outing by any Mets pitcher all season long.

Oracle Field also has very poor visibility when the shadow is across the field. Very hard to see the ball comimg towards the plate from the pitcher. The park also has a very deep.outfield corner and a short right field wall.

I am 36-14 and in 1st place but these games are getting harder. Each game now is like playing a playoff game where each at bat and pitch means something.

I will be doing a update on my new Mariners franchise with the current set. The sliders (even how crazy they seem to look) are playing very well for us.

In 14 games, here are some numbers.

                        CPU hitting
                        Avg: .266
Home runs: 14 (averaging one per game)

                        Hit distribution
                        Singles: 67% MLB average 65%
                        Doubles: 23% MLB average 20%
                        Triples: 0% MLB average 2%
Home runs: 10% MLB average 12%

                        Walks: 3.2 per game
                        Strikeouts: 9.5 per game

Also, wanted to add that these sliders will work with any difficulty. Steve and I use dynamic difficulty set at 3.

We both are pitching on HOF. For hitting, I’m on Allstar+ and he is on Rookie+. That is a pretty wide range between us. And both of our numbers are spot on and we use the same team, the Mariners.

Not sure if Steve wants me to tell everyone he hits on Rookie+. LOL

Looking forward to trying, I don’t use Dynamic Difficulty and use HOF - This game was running so smooth before the update, now it’s hard to find the middle ground of mashing the CPU or getting mashed lol.

                            Thanks for the info!

We both are pitching on HOF. For hitting, I’m on Allstar+ and he is on Rookie+. That is a pretty wide range between us. And both of our numbers are spot on and we use the same team, the Mariners.

Lmao no shame in my (****astic hitting) game! Sadly I have stayed on Rookie+ for a while now averaging about 8 hits per game and striking out near 8x per game still. I feel like a loser hitting but I am getting realistic results so it is what it is I suppose lol

I am usually stuck between Veteran and All Star.
A couple of tough series and my rating drops sometimes even into the Rookie Levels.
