    LAA 9 16 0 (2BB 7K); 5 2B, 2HR
    KC 0 6 0 (2BB 7K); all singles

Something to maybe try if you'd like. Solid hits at 10 I've yet to see too many hard hit balls like you're seeing so that's kind of odd to me. Could just be bad Pirates pitching I guess.

Yeah thats the thing, the fact I'm the pirates really makes me wonder if that gets corrected as I get better pitching. Only thing that makes me think it could be more is that both Thompson and bednar get hit hard too, and they actually have solid ratings. I just feel that even the games I give up 1 or 2 runs its by luck, as I see a lot of hard hit outs and still give up double digit in hits.

Haven't really given much thought to the timing slider though. I'm actually not 100% sure how it affects the cpu as that feels like more of a human element. Does it just affect how often they get good swings?

The solid hit slider determines how often they make solid hard contact. The lower you go, the more soft hits they get.

The cpu is really terrible timing swings in general. Raised timing just helps with that a bit. On default or lower you see really bad swings that look unnatural, such as being way early on 95+mph fastballs. It takes quite a bit of raising to get a noticeable difference imo. At 10 it is very noticeable and much more realistic looking. At 7 it allows me to still get my strikeouts with contact at 7, while cpu swings appearing more natural still.

Contact at 6 and timing at 10 works great overall. I just personally need a bit more challenge from the cpu offense still. As far as solid hits go, I'd leave that at 10 but if you must lower it, go no lower than 8 with these pitching on Allstar. C

I grew a huge braves fan as a kid, loved growing up watching the jones boys do their thing back then..I’m currently 42 games (25-17) into my franchise, I’ve played every game so far and haven’t simmed one pitch..I’m batting on veteran difficulty and I’m leading the league in homeruns (83, braves have #1 power as a team with the rosters I have) the closest teams is Houston with 78…I’ve just started a 3 game series with the brewers, first game I lost 2-4..I hit 2 solo homeruns, the second game I won 12-2 and they had Freddy Peralta (88 ovr) starting that game, he only lasted 3.1 innings 8h, 6r, 0bb, 4 so..

I ended up hitting 7 homeruns that game so in 2 games into this series I’ve hit 9 homeruns..just wanna get yalls opinion if I should try hitting on veteran+ or jump to all star difficulty?

            Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

With cpu soid hits down to 9, and human consistency up to 4, played the 3 game set vs brewers:

            L 13-9
            W 12-6
            W 11-7

I see the scores are getting out of hand now lol. Seems like high scoring games are more common than they should be of late. Walks actually did seem better, but even with solid hits at 9 it felt more of the same. It never seems to matter what I do, I just cannot get a solid start. Since switching to classic, about a month of games worth, I've only had 2 starts that were actually decent, a 6 ip 1 er start from the prospect priester, and Brubaker had a 6.1 ip 2 er start. I get the pirates are bad...but man I'd like to see the starters be a littler better than that lol. The crazy thing about this though is the bullpen seems perfect. I've had a good amount of games where they've come in and given up nothing. And I've had a good amount where they get shelled too.

As far as hitting...yeeeah I may need to start tweaking some things lol. I was on today, and just about felt like my old self. The final two games I had very few strikeouts as well....it could be time. I have all human hitting sliders at default on legend for now of course, and im down for a little advice on it. I'll give some of my team stats and my suggestions as well.

About 20-25 games ago I was in the middle of the league with batting average, it was at around .243. I am now at .254 and 5th in the league. Back then I lead the league in doubles by 1, now it's by 10, and I was 2nd in hrs by 6, now lead it by 14. I also lead the league in runs now, before I was 10th. I do think power might be something to definitely tone down, and possibly solid hits as well. I am also starting to notice I'm having a lot more battles at the plate than I did. I had a 16 pitch about result in a hr this series, so I may be ready to really decrease the foul frequency, possibly to 0 (ough this may decrease an already declining strikeout total). Of course pitch speed is always an option, but I almost want to do that last. Today was the first time my strikeouts have been absent, so I'd hate to find out I just had a good day and I'll be back to striking out next session.

Even though the games have been crazy of late, at least they've been extremely entertaining lol

Are you striking out enough? If not then raising pitch speed could be all you need. Lowering power to 4 may work, lowering to 3 will definitely work. We had it at 3 for a long time actually.

You have the total opposite problem now lol

But we can help you fix it. I would try solid hits at 5 for a game. You should see a big difference hopefully. But it might be too much so you will have to keep an eye on it. If you feel like it is too weak than raise it by one. Maybe 7 or 8 will be the sweet spot.

Hitting is tough cause it is more on the user. I would actually try raising pitch speed up 2 first. That could solve multiple problems at once. You should strike out more, and lower your offensive numbers with average, runs, and home runs. You could also try lowering power and solid hits by one until you see a difference.

Actually I have been trying to adjust my sliders for offense cause I’m hitting too many homeruns and getting too many hits. I hate to raise pitch speeds more than 7 on Veteran cause then I don’t read the pitches well enough to get walks. I have been trying different combinations and different difficulties but I might just have to go back to the OP sliders and raise pitch speeds myself.

I’m curious, I’m about 50 games into my current save but I wanted to see what everyone in here thinks the least used team, or most unpopular team to use in Franchise Mode would be. Who do you never see or hear of not getting used?

I’m excited to see who everyone picks!

All great answers. Rockies is so much fun except the Coors effect in game is honestly TOO much Coors. I absolutely love playing with them though, a perfect franchise team imo.

Yeah unfortunately the effect in that ballpark us way over done to where I'd need separate sliders just for that stadium. Or find another place to use for home games. My guess is not many use Colorado because of the effect the game has for Coors being too much.

Absolutely. I played about 33 games and had given up 67 total homeruns. In the franchise I have now, I’ve given up 58 in 53 games. Same sliders lol

It seems power numbers are +25 in that stadium honestly. It’s just not sustainable.

Believe it or not the closest I've ever gotten to a no hitter was in Colorado with Ubaldo Jimenez years ago. I wanna say it was MLB 11, maybe even MLB 10. Back then the ballpark played rather large in the OF as it is irl and does in the game now. But the homeruns and massive amount of doubles and even triples were not there back then.

Whatever they had then they sorely need to go back to. To this day that 8.2ip no hitter haunts me cause I haven't come any closer than 7 innings no hitter since.
