I can tell you guys something right now about 24.

The feature premiere video this week could possibly make or break this years game. People are already up in arms over the game still being on the old Gen systems. If the feature video looks like the same old game as least year with no visible graphical upgrades then you can pretty much guarantee that the negativity is going to ensue.

I will buy the game regardless but I know the "I wont buy it" crowd is just waiting for a reason to vent and complain.

They have not really shown any in depth screenshots or video so this feature video is going to be the video gaming version of the Zapruder Film. Everyone is going to watch it and form their own conclusions.

I’m rededicating myself finishing the Rangers franchise I started over the summer. I decided to transfer over to the PS4 version for sounds of the show. First game back was an instant classic. Jumped out to an 11-0 lead, Rockies came all the way back to tie it. Then I take a 13-11 lead in bottom of the 8th, win 13-12. What a way to get my franchise kickstarted.

What system you play on? If on Xbox and have gamepass, you can pay $40 and get the Digital Deluxe Add On Pre Order Bonus and the 4 day early access.

Downside if you ever let the gamepass run out then you don't have access to the game anymore. But if you always do, no brainer to get that $40 version..

I downloaded the place holder that Gamepass has for the game right now. The one that is like 316mb where they send the game too when actually put it on the network.

I don't see a option anywhere yet to pay $40 for the early access. I checked on the Xbox store and didn't see anything either. I assume I have to wait until they actually put the game on the Network in order to pre order it? Or did I not look in the right place?

They don't make it easy that's for sure to see things, my buddy found it last week when we were talking pre orders. But if you click the game MLB The Show 24, it then brings up a few options, mine was all the way to the right. But that don't mean it will be there for you lol.

They don't make it easy that's for sure to see things, my buddy found it last week when we were talking pre orders. But if you click the game MLB The Show 24, it then brings up a few options, mine was all the way to the right. But that don't mean it will be there for you lol.

I will be playing this game no matter what but I can say that SDS needs to step it up with the presentation and overall experience.

The only other sports game I am really playing is NBA2k24. NHL 24 is so bad I gave up on it.

The graphics and presentation on 2k is absolutely unbelievable. It really is something. I use the Clippers and just played a game on the road at Indiana and was absolutely stunned by how the arena and fans looked. I mean it was really jaw dropping. The Indiana arena was incredible. 2k has its issues but presentation is not one of them.

Some of the stuff on MLB the Show still looks grainy like the pregame stuff where you see the players. It is nothing major but it just shows that they haven't brought the game up to the latest gen yet. The graphics still look good but the game is VASTLY UNDER DEVELOPED when compared to where it could be right now.

I also think it is somewhat disingenuous to be charging all this money for all these special editions when they haven't updated anything on the game. No disrespect to the Negro Leagues at all but the stuff they brought in is a side mode. That is like be asked to pay 40$ extra for a GTA edition with some extra side missions.

The stuff I am seeing on 2k is jaw dropping. The arena's are next level UNBELIVABLE.

SDS can do the same but for whatever reason they are not.

Yeah, the pregame on the show has been the same for a long time. Except for the 3-4 stadiums that they decided to do outside stadium shots where you see the fans (Boston, Seattle, Chicago, and New York). Really disappointed they didn’t do more stadiums in updates last year. At least give us 1 or 2 more stadiums an update or something. I feel if they rolled it out they should only roll it out with every stadium and not just 4.

I know 2K did have that spider web type of thing where you get points to unlock the level like you can unlock it to control concesssion prices, or unlock something to be a better free agent negotiator, or something with trades. I would be all for that and would even consider paying extra money for those features than pay for the case or the extra stubs.

My thoughts on the game and a question.

If the game is good enough I can definitely see myself dropping anything else I am playing just for the Show.

My plan for the beginning of the game is to play all 162 with the Mets and then simultaneously do a franchise with Jays where I play 1 game each series and then sim the rest. That is a good way to experience more of the game than just with the Mets.

I have to play 162 with the Mets. This is the year that they finally get there City Connect jerseys.

My question is when they finally put the City Connect jerseys in the game will they be loaded into my franchise after I start ? The jerseys don't debut until April 26th or something like that. Obviously I will have already started my franchise by then.

When NHL updates the jerseys they transfers over to saved franchise and I assume that MLB the Show will do that same.

Yes, you get those uniforms through patches and they would be available in all current and new franchises.

I’ve recently came back to MLB the show and locked in version 5 sliders. Playing really well for me so far other than my home run totals are a little low. Single/doubles and triples are all falling in line which is good. Maybe I just need to increase my sample size but which slider would u recommend (if any) increasing. Contact, power, solid hits or timing? Thanks.

You should be able to raise power to 6, which should help with the home runs. But it also depends on your sample size. I would maybe wait 10-15 games. I stared a Braves franchise and I didn't give up a home run for like 4 games and then they can't stop lol.

People are already disgruntled and have been posting and the features have not come out yet.

I do feel like 24 will be similar to 23 with a few updates. And no new features to franchise. I feel like there will be more people disappointed after tonight than thrilled because they have high expectations. Last year, they previewed a new draft overhaul when they scheduled the premiers. But this year, they didn’t give us any description on each premier. So that tells me it’s nothing too dramatic. I have 24 preordered so either way, I’m excited.

I think people have high expectations cause they are always waiting for this big upgrade to come.
