A very powerful slider when used properly to balance the game offensively.

So it helps or hurts offense ? Sorry if I’m not catching on right away.

I was hoping there would be an option to have your catcher not give hand signals and treat the controller speaker like the PitchCom teams are using now. Hopefully next year.

The lower the slider is the better it is for offense.

I don’t believe that is entirely the case, it also protects batters with 2 strikes keeping them alive vs a swing and miss. I increased this slider to 8 for the cpu to reduce strikeouts

I used to think that way......but the heavy weight of that slider is foul vs fair balls.

Wow. I am actually shocked how good this game is playing with this setup. I pre-ordered and I've played a lot of '23 this year, franchise and Conquest only in DD....and really enjoyed '23. I downloaded LostRealist909's March 7 update and switched my (generally default) Legend sliders to these HoF instead. I will certainly play '24 via gamepass, but I won't be buying for the PS5 for the first time so until we get updated rosters and a couple patches for '24 I am thinking I will just stay with '23 and this setup. I always follow you Armor, here and Madden, but I have to admit I didn't think it would breathe this much life back into '23 for me. It really opened up the offence to more variety and outcomes. I was finding everything was a close low scoring game until this. Thanks!

Last question lol So how do you determine what this value should be? I like others thought it had more to do with strikeouts.

Testing and playing a ton of games at
Default then a click down then another etc etc.....and it becomes a feel for me where offense is at and what it's trending at with different values.

Firstly, Armor I’m so happy you are now full on PS5. This is what I’ve been waiting for ha. I haven’t been able to get into The Show at all until I think now.

So far I’m loving the game with the MrMets rosters. Had probably one of the most fun games in recent memory with the Twins vs. Astros last night. It was so draining that I couldn’t bring myself to play a second game that I planned on playing. That’s the mark of fun IMO.

With the 98 rosters I started a Marlins franchise. However, it’s not been quite as fun. And by that I mean the games are all really low scoring with very few hits despite my pitchers missing a lot of locations over the middle of the plate and the CPU hits really weak grounders and pop ups all the time. This goes for the best hitters in the game, not just the bad ones. Has anyone else experienced that with the 98 rosters? I’m through 6 games so far and I know it’s still a relatively small sample size but so far it’s just not enjoyable yet due to the lack of offense and hard hit balls. This is with the same sliders but with the stamina adjustments for classic seasons. I do love how Schilling threw a 127 pitch complete game on me. So cool to have that.

Just keep at it. Trust me the offense will be there.

                        No doubt.

Before anyone asks......we are staying on 23.

We are extremely happy with 23, completely immersed in Yankees Year 1 and 1990 Royals YR1.

24 will be purchased next Winter for Jeter moments....and whatever ATG cooks up.

The only thing HDMI 2.1 does is allow the game to be played at 4k and 120fps, instead of 4k and 60fps. So the resolution doesn’t change, only the frame rate. Does it make the game noticeably smoother? Yes. Is it worth $800? Probably not.
