Patch 12 when they update game play really messed the game. I know it’s not true but It is almost like they want us to get mad and stop playing and then by March we will get the itch to play and buy 25. Lol

Is it true if you have the disc version of the game and disconnect from the internet you aren’t playing with the previous patch? Almost like it was removed?

I believe so. But I think it was 3 patches ago that messed it up.

You want real frustration? Try getting cpu vs cpu to reflect realism! You either wind up with teams getting 15-18 hits if you raise cpu sliders a bit, or striking out 12-15 times if you try to balance things. They really screwed the pooch this year...

I wish I could experience what Countryboy does. He can play default legend for multiple seasons and have no problems. They need to make the difficulties play true. HOF should not feel like Rookie and have to bump everything up. HOF should be a challenge and Legend should be the ultimate challenge.

So far I'm not having any real issues its playing pretty well, but I'm thinking the issue with having to bump up the CPU hitting so often might be a "classic pitching" problem.

That is what I was wondering. Other years, I did try pulse and meter.

That one is a head scratcher for me to be honest. He plays multiple seasons, every pitch.. with so much experience I would expect him to be dominating the CPU when pitching by now. Everyone plays the game differently I suppose. Pitch patterns can really impact the CPUs ability to hit. Once you figure that out they can’t do much. (High and in fast ball and low away breaking stuff is their kryptonite and they can’t adjust)

Also It’s not just us but a number of threads on Reddit and the show forums point to the CPU being punchless on legend. They need to either tune legend or introduce a new difficulty level.. the fear I have is they don’t concern themselves much with offline play

Country doesn't use classic pitching, so that may be the difference.

If I knew I didn't have to bump up the CPU hitting so much by using something other than classic pitching, I would definitely consider it.

we all know the reality here... game developers spend little time on the offline modes. online players who are silly enough to spend twice as much as what they originally paid for the game make these guys $$$

                            "the fear"

it isnt a fear, face the reality. what could be a great game is not a great game cuz they dont care!

I will say, I only throw a few fastballs up and in nowadays. I think youre right, time to throw fewer breaking balls low and away. just go against your instincts and let it play out more realistically

I follow the catcher's suggestion every pitch.

With meter, I know I would eventually be able to hit that line more and more with experience...but I don't know if that matter. On classic pitching, I can leave the ball down the middle and they won't hammer it most of the time. It is almost like a slump mixed in with the confidence that sliders aren't fixing.

I think this might have started in 23 when they added those two lower level difficulties.

Neither do I. I use pinpoint or meter which is arguably easier than classic as you can master the mechanic more so than classic
