They haven't updated any game settings in quite a long time so it's probably just a slump or your team in general. A few months ago I had a similar very long team slump and then broke out of it.

I definitely get what you're saying but really these kinds of scenarios are randomly built in to the game so it's not always predictable. I've had guys that aren't very good attribute-wise, have fantastic seasons, and great players not be great.

I also know that slumping causes me to tend to be very aggressive at hitting, which makes the slump worse.

I think the biggest frustration of it is it happens on sim too lol so it’s not just me sucking. But I’ll keep plugging away and see if it snaps. The most frustrating thing is hitting weak grounders and pop ups with ohtani on good timed fastballs and hung curves haha

I think that means it isn’t the sliders if your team is still struggling when you sim. The sliders don’t affect those games. Except for SP Stamina and Hook.

The Cubs in real life had that slump for like 3 months this year.

I really hope they focus on the in-stadium atmosphere in 25. I think they did that about 5 years ago trying to make it like being at the stadium. I think they went to every stadium to get the sounds and chants. They need to do it again. They need to update the homerun clips and show the stadium lighting go dark in a lot of stadiums. Especially when they win.

There is no excuse they can’t get the win songs for home games. You don’t need to full sounds of the show. But they should be able to get a 30-60 second clip of the victory songs. Like the Yankees, Cubs, and Dodgers songs. That would make a huge difference and a big upgrade.

And update the game intro. It is like 10 years old. Would love for them to just say what they expect from this game. Even if it’s a couple of lines talking about a pitching matchup or maybe one team is coming in hot.

Right. And I am not asking for batter walk up music or homerun music. But they should be able to replicate a team win. Madden can play the TD music.

The game intros are from 10 years ago at least. Except for the last game of the series when they’ll say it’s a rubber match or going for the sweep. But they should be able to at least say something like welcome to game 2 where the Cubs will try to win 2 in a row or welcome to game 2 where the Cubs will try to even the series.

There is actually a chance the Mets may be able to sign Soto and Alonso.

I follow a lot of Mets news and if we do get Soto we might be able to secure Alonso on a shorter term deal with a high annual contact value.

If that is the case you can EXPECT A LOT OF FEEDBACK FROM ME. I will definitely be downloading the free agent rosters.

Alonso and Snell is another possibility or even Soto and Snell

At this point it is all speculative. But Cohen is willing to spend the money this off season.

They need to steal EVERYTHING that NBA 2K has done for the user experience and add it to the game. Especially the outdated Franchise stuff. The whole franchise interface needs to be upgraded. 2K has the best franchise user interface in the business.

NHL 25 has upgraded the franchise user interface and I am loving it. MLB the Show and NHL 25 are my two games I play.

Old gen needs to be left behind. The Show needs to be a New Gen game.

I cant wait for the free agent period to be over so I can download the rosters and start a franchise and use that as my spring training.

But what I will will do is play a redo of the 2024 Playoffs with the Mets with the sliders and see the results.

The Mets appear to be front runners for Soto right now. If the deal goes through next year is going to be fun on the game. Cohen is also going for top level pitching as well. I hear they are also interested in Adames as well.

Does anyone ever have solid pitching performances with these? I have no interest in having a team era over six but just as little interest in leading the league in every pitching category like on default.

I would lower timing by 1. Or even do 6/5/6 for contact, power, and timing.

Still using the sliders. I have been playing in playoff mode with the Mets.

I notice that me and the CPU always has even or a similar number of hits. One team somehow manages to get some runs and wins the game.

Like I have mentioned many times before the infield timing is excellent. Very unforgiving when it comes to making mistakes. The errors also seemingly come out of nowhere when you least expect it. Makes you want to punch the TV screen.

Your goal is get the CPU to scatter it's hits around multiple innings. Ground ball pitchers are worth their weight in gold in 24. You have to keep the batters swinging down.

You gotta stay low in the zone in this years game.

The batters also turn on the inside fastball better.

Sometimes you have to intentionally miss the zone to keep the CPU guessing.

Change speeds OFTEN.

Get that first strike over...falling behind 1-0 is like falling behind 2-0 because the CPU will lay off the close pitch and punish you when you try to get back into the count.

There' a thread titled Corbin Burnes glitch on the main forum. I'm not sure what causes it but it seems to be tied to custom rosters. You can check there and see if anyone ever found a solution or workaround. I haven't read through it very carefully.
