Has anyone encountered this before? My last couple of historic playthroughs have the minor league systems duplicated. It doesn't happen immediately. Around the end of my first season

Do you somehow have historic evolution on?

I don't think that I did. I mostly play with default settings minus things like turning scouting on.

Bit of a wish list item for 2021, but I really want to see them re-work contracts. Seeing Freddie Freeman ask for $45m/year or Chipper Jones as for Arod's contract in a 2001 historical play just isn't realistic. I know that their demands come down if you let them hit free agency, but really it should be the reverse. Their demands should go up on the open market.

Any operation sports OOTP leagues out there? Looking to join one with the new version coming out soon.

Today is the day. 22 is out and I'm pumped to play it. I didn't touch 21 too much as I spent more time with the Show, but this year is likely my OOTP year. I've been rotating between the two each year, not really on purpose, just coincidentally.

The new changes to coaching are what I'm most excited about along with the changes to trading and whatnot. As someone who enjoys being purely the GM, I'm real excited to see how much of an impact those changes have. Also, with the game being 64-bit now, I've read the game is incredibly fast and buttery smooth when simulating and advancing, plus it is much more stable.

Can someone tell me if there is an option to disable ball flight and movement of the fielders? I prefer to see text only when it comes to game play.

From the "View" pulldown menu in the upper right during in-game action, try either the "Modern 2D View", "Classic 2D View", or the "Classic Webcast View". All of them have the text PBP and will show an animation indicating the ball's flight and hit type, but they don't show player animations.

It seems that OOTP has had their best launch yet which is awesome news. Based off the emails they have had a record setting launch. Hopefully the game continues to grow in popularity. It truly deserves it.

I am completely new to this game. Some videos I've seen have a real draft class for 21 (Rocker, etc.). How did they get these players in the game?

I suck so far. Dropped 3 of 4 to the Astros and my first 2 to the Dodgers.

Starters are gassed by the fifth, relievers can't get people out.

And I still love this game.....

I think I asked last year, does anyone know if there is a way to preset a shift for players or do I have to do it everytime they come up?

I have never found any option to set strategy for individuals like that. I think you have to do it yourself. At least that was the case in prior years. I know that they have added some strategy customization this year, but I haven't seen anything in my limited time so far.

I feel like I churn through relievers far too quickly, so it's good to hear I'm not the only one.

Also, as far as I can tell there's no way to preset the shift

Finally got to play this last night and I loved being back. I only play in the GM role, so Snitker does all of may managing duties since he is the... manager. I do try and watch basically every game, pitch by pitch. I watched game 2 of the year last night since I used live start to have all the first games updated with real stats.

First, the new stadiums are gorgeous. They truly look great. Also, the new camera angles that I think were introduced last year and lot of the 3D improvements are phenomenal. I didn't really play 21, so all the improvements in it are essentially new to me this year. The player models look better, it's just incredible what they've done in the few years 3D has been in the game.

I can't wait to dig deeper into this and see how they've improved all of the logic and whatnot. The game is also super smooth. 64 bit is a godsend.

It's looking like they hit a homerun once again with this release.

I found those new strategy roles while trying to answer my question above. Those are only for simmed games correct?

Am I blind or is there no longer an option to set the amount of time between pitches in 3D?
