Maybe the one thing they could have done with the schedule is add an option to play a balanced, unbalanced, non-inter league, interleague etc before the start of the season. Just like in Season mode. Instead have the option made available in career/franchise mode.

Another idea could have been to swap the home and away games. Just like WSB did last year. One of the reasons I got tired of playing ASB 2003 was the schedule thing. I just couldn't sim or play past my 3rd year. It was boring playing the same teams over again. Sure some teams got new stadiums, but still the repetition was there.

Again this isn't a game killer for me, but one I would like to see fixed in future installments of the game.
