First pitch I threw was hit out of the park.

It's an interesting looking game. Graphics and animations are real good, lots of load screens. I don't have a lot of time for it right now, but will have to try to navigate it and find out how to put it on auto field/manual throw, that's for sure. Also different batting/pitching views.

Jim, did you get a PS3?

Got the game yesterday and got to play around a bit. I was lost, that's for sure. I played an exhibition game. After 5 innings, I was down 9-0 and didn't get a hit (I kept pulling them foul, and I couldn't time the slap button). I then managed to get a career started as a shortstop. Played one game, went 0-5 with 5 k's (nice debut for the American, I must be a crowd favorite), but I did make my plays at short.

Graphics are solid, the career camera is really good; it plays behind you (I heard the show is like this--I've held off on that for the PS3 version so I can't compare).

Hitting seems good, I just can't get good wood on the ball yet; that will come.

Pitching was alot like 2K. I like the warmup pitches before a new pitcher pitches to a batter--nice touch.

I'm sure the game is deep, and there is some customization, but I am more lost than I thought I would be. I'm happy with my purchase. The career mode seems fun--I wonder how long I can continue to suck before getting cut. I don't know if I can do a season well b/c I'm sure there are alot of things that I will miss.

Oh well, sorry for the random thoughts. I'll play around more late tonight.

I've been super busy here at the house and was able to play a few innings. Looks like a good game, I couldn't hit either and fouled everything off. The manual translation is confusing for me, maybe because I was busy and didn't have the patience, but was able to get it on auto field/manual throw. It worked well.

My PS3 version was delivered today and I played an exhibition game but I just do not like the batting cursor. Is there an option for Zone hitting without the cursor and how do I select?

I would appreciate any help.

Didn't know that I erased my career data so I had to start over. I am now a 2nd baseman for the Giants. 1-3 with single. I caught one pop-up...Pretty fun mode.

the ranslation helped me out with exactly what iw anted to edit. what i mean is everything I wanted to do I WAS ABLE TO DO! this is sucha relief because i thought the game would lack in some setting area and IT DOES NOT.

Arguebly the best baseball game ever made in my opinion. i love the presentations it makes you feel like you're in japane9thats so awesome for me anyways) the gameplay for pitching is just like MLB 2k7 which i felt was very good and satisfying but the batting is the best thing since Winning eleven goal scoring it's so organic and so gratifying when you do hit anything fair that's it's just so much fun to try over and over.

I actually bought a PS3 just for this game and i was wondering of i had made the right choice and all i can say is with MLB 07 around the corner
I have this game to EASILY make the wait easier for it

For me I paid about 75 for it. worth it IMHO

Well ALOT of what was translated comes with a hitch. You have to first go into the VP Shop area of the game and BUY the "additional settings" that complete the lines translated

go to japanesebaseball.com from there go to their forum section and under video games theres tons of topics with questions like your that have been answered. thats where I got ALL my info on this game and it was thru a link a guy at gamefaqs posted hoping to get some people involved in online games for it
