Have you guys seen any hits to the right field, I know in last years it seemed that even if you swung late with a right handed batter that it was still hit to left field.

Does Safeco Feild have the tree out in centerfeild? How do the closed stadiums look?

I would like to know about this as well. What kind of results are you getting? Are you being struck out any with this method? Are you getting too many hits or are they pretty accurate?

              Thanks,

Re: All Star Baseball... First Impressions & Questions for those with the game

The reveresed lefty batting timing physics bug has been most certainly addressed...I have seen more variety in hits and plenty to all sides of the field by both handed batters PLUS the physcis of the ball contact also seems more authentic to the type of tilt you put on the cursor ( 3d mode ) so now if you tilt all the way down, you'll see balls blasted down to the ground...nice physics. Im using the traditional 3D mode, it gives you the most realistic control of your batter's swing

Ill try the other modes later.

hitting is definitely not as easy as it was last year because this year the game engine doent seem to give you the 'gimme' contact of the ball when your cursor is near a pitch like it did last year. this year, you need to really put the cursor on the ball and the cursor sweet spots seem to be smaller...more challenging.

Also, the strike zone varies with each hitter AND its not just simply a distinct outline drawn on the screen...its like a nicely faded area that seems to fade out towards the outer perimeter and if you throw some pitches in this border area, the umpire seems to vary his calls...sometimes balls sometimes strikes... At least that's what I think is hapening...I hope so......Real nice touch

Zone Batting is basically the same as Cursor batting. Except Zone batting does not give you the option to hit with Power or Contact.

I just can't aim the cursor along with the pitch due to the pitch speed. I strike out way too much and also hit balls right to the fielders. It's kind of frustrating.

Too bad Acclaim did not put in sliders, so we could adjust the pitching speeds.

yeah I guess if you could control every aspect of every team then you wouldnt even "pick" a team in the franchise mode. I just hope there is no difference between my team (the team I chose) and my buddies team (the team that we just set on HUMAN CONTROL) or whatever... get it? Anyone else like Multiplayte
