Does the PS2 version have at least 480p and widescreen selections?

And can anyone confirm 60 FPS?

      Nevermind, didn't see this answer:

Thanks, I guess that might mean 60 FPS. Definitely hoping for that widescreen option, though (along with 480p)!

I don't believe either version has 480p or 16:9. Past Pawapuro games never had it either. You'd have to rely on something like the PS3 upscaler.

Never saw and framerate issues when I played last night, but I can't say definitively if it was 30 or 60.

Just picked this up for Wii at Gamestop myself. They had one copy. I asked them why so few, and the guy smirked and said "we didn't think anyone would actually buy it." Thats what you call a d-bag folks.

On the PS3, it does show end of the game replays...I'm assuming because of the hard drive.

They only had one copy at my Gamestop too, the copy I had reserved a month ago.

The break late. They remind of a cross between All Star Baseball and MVP.

I kinda like the way pitches break in MVP so that wouldnt be too bad.

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!

I am playing on normal, and I have switched the batting control from analog to digital. I t has helped tremendously, I just played the Marlins( Zambrano-Willis ) It was an offensive showdown, I was down 8-3, Lee hit a solo shot to make it 8 to four, then 2 innings later Aramis hits a 3 run blast down the line to make 8-7. Top of the 9th, man on 2nd, Kendall hits a shot to center, and the CF makes a running catch backwards to end the game.

I'm thinking, that was way to many runs for pitchers of that calibur. Next game, I'm playing the Brewers, and I lose 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth on a 1 out single to left from Prince.
                      Me 1 run 5 hits 0 walks
                      Brewers 2 runs 5 hits 2 walks

The more I play this game, the more I freaking fall in love with it. When you use digital cursor for pitching, you have a good amount of time to set the ball maker where you want it out of the wind up. When you are going out of the stretch, you have a split second to place it, and it makes it very realistic. You really have to concentrate using the digital cursor.

Well, Willis isnt really that good, ERA over 5 this year. And Zambrano is prone to some bad games the last two years. Still, sounds like a good experience.

How does fielding work with the gamecube controller? Do you just push A and the direct it to the base you want it to go to? Ala old school games? Or does each base have a button?

My copy in the mail should be arriving any time now.

Oh, I agree. My point was that I get blasted one game, and turn around and give up 1 run and 3 hits over 8 innings to the Brewers( a far superior offensive threat ) after getting shelled by the marlins.....Thats a great sign that it allows inconsistencies for both player and myself.
