I look at them once in awhile, generally skip through them. What I do look at all the time is my profile stats screen...wow, is there a plethora of information there. Its very telling as to what you are doing right and what needs worked on.

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
I will say this, this is the most fun I have had in awhile with a game...that includes NBA 2k8 and Halo3. Nothing has entered my system, since I picked this game up yesterday. It's just fun....nothing feels canned, I know we use that alot around here...but I mean nothing feels pre-determined at all. You feel like you are in absolute control of whether you win or lose. You're play ability and managerial decision's all play huge factors in the outcome.
I am having a blast just editing the whole league so I can start a franchise.Last edited by bluengold34_OS; 10-03-2007, 07:32 PM.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
So do most of you have the Wii version? I went to EB and they had 2 copies of the Wii version and plenty of the PS2 version. So I picked up the Wii version "Just in case".Joshua:

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
I own both systems but I opted to get the wii version since the wii is a newer system. I suspect that the load time is probably alot faster on the wii as opposed to the PS2.Go Yankees!

Wow, some cool stuff so far. Saw an injury sliding into 2nd. Played a night game at Fenway, started at dusk, turned to night. Just saw a wild pitch. This game is nuts!Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
I knew you would love it, the injury's are cool. I had Derrick Lee foul one off his foot...BAM..out of the game, same inning, Soriano slides head first into third...BAM..out of the gameTwitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
I forgot who asked about the post-game stats, but I've noticed that they're extremely detailed. You can see where every hit landed on the field, every pitch crossed the strikezone, etc. It's pretty cool. It's helped me determine which pitches get hit, and in which locations.
Another thing that's really cool, not related to stats, are the number of foul balls and the pitch counts. Both seem incredibly realistic, even when I play my roommate. I can't recall any other baseball game I've played before where pitch counts were realistic.
I'm with everyone else on this game; it's fantastic. It plays so solid and so realistic, and animates so well too. It's the total package. I can't explain how pleased I am with this game.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
Shut the pitch cursor off when on the mound and you're in for a real treat in terms of user pitch counts and batter vs. pitcher battles. It's truly excellent.Comment

I really, really, really hope they offer the same thing next year except with the realistic player models.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!
I never really noticed how cartoony the players looked while playing. I was so caught up in the realism of the gameplay and the fun I was having that the look didn't matter."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
